Pescada amarela (Cynoscion acoupa) desembarcada: características microbiológicas e qualidade do gelo utilizado na sua conservação / Microbiological characteristics and quality of the ice used for preserving landed yellow hake (Cynoscion acoupa)
This study aimed at identifying the microbiological characteristics of yellow hake (Cynoscion acoupa) landed in Cedral/MA and to assess the qualitu of ice used in their preservation. Forty-two samples of hake were collected and analyzed on Salmonella spp. V. parahaemolyticus, Escherichia coli, coagulase positive Staphylococcus, Aeromonas spp. mesophilic aerobic bacteria count and Most Probable Number of coliforms at 35ºC and at 45ºC. Eleven ice samples were analyzed for coliform counting at 35}C and at 45ºC and for psychorotrophic bacteria. Yellowhake samples were contaminated with mesophilic bacteria, coliforms and A hydrophila. No Salmonella, coagulase positive Staphylococcus and V. parahaemolyticus were detected. The analyzed ice samples were considered unsuitable to be used for fish preservation.(AU)
