Frailty syndrome is an age-related clinical
state of the physiological
homeostasis imbalance and the declines in physiological functions. However, the mechanism of
frailty is still not clear, and it can only be diagnosed by assessment tools in the clinical
research setting without stable and reliable
biomarkers. As a new tool, omics platform has made a lot of progress in the field of
frailty biomarkers.In this
paper, we
will review the
research status of
frailty biomarkers from four aspects including
genomics,
transcriptomics,
proteomics and
metabolomics.
