Monkeypox is a zoonotic
viral disease caused by
monkeypox virus infection.
Monkeypox has become a
public health emergency of international concern, since it first spread widely in many regions outside

detection methods are particularly important for the
diagnosis and
screening of
monkeypox virus infection. This
review summarizes
laboratory testing
techniques for
monkeypox virus in recent years, and compares principles and
detection performance of
microscopy,
culture,
nucleic acid testing and immunological
methods.
