ABSTRACT
N,O-heterocycles containing the dicarbonyl ring play a significant role in heterocyclic and therapeutic chemistry. Since the discovery of 1,3-diketones, numerous research works have been achieved regarding the synthesis and its chemical reactivity. In this review, we have described the most relevant publications involving ß-diketone compounds published during the period between 2018 to date. In addition, we include the 1,3-diketones-based heterocyclic compounds prepared by various synthetic methodologies.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H17N3O2S, contains two independent mol-ecules linked by an N-Hâ¯O hydrogen bond. The mol-ecules show different conformations. In the first mol-ecule, the fused five- and six-membered ring system is almost perpendicular to the plane through the atoms forming the allyl group, as indicated by the dihedral angle of 85.1â (4)°. The dihedral angle with the methyl-benzene-sulfonamide group is 78.8â (1)°. On the other hand, in the second mol-ecule, the dihedral angles between the indazole plane and the allyl and methyl-benzene-sulfonamide groups are 80.3â (3) and 41.5â (1)°, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are further linked by N-Hâ¯N and C-Hâ¯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
