ABSTRACT
1 A review of experiences with a shorter post-myocardial infarct hospital stay has been presented. 2 A seven-day hospital stay in selected patients appears reasonable and safe. 3 Further multi-center controlled studies to enlarge on this experience is proposed. 4 The socioeconomic impact of a shorter hospital stay and earlier return to work, in higher percentages, would be striking.
