ABSTRACT

The potential probiotic yeast was isolated from the Kyzyl Anor pomegranate variety growing in the Turkestan region (Kazakhstan). The yeast strain was identified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae Az-12. Molecular genetic identification was carried out using the Sanger sequencing method. The degree of homology of the S. cerevisiae Az-12 strain with the strain MH608341.1 Saccharomyces cerevisiae isolate extr03 was 99.65%. Antagonistic effect of the yeast against pathogenic bacteria was confirmed according inhibition zones for Staphylococcus aureus 13.5 ± 0.05 mm; the inhibition zones for Escherichia coli 12.8 ± 0.05 mm; and 10.7 ± 0.05 mm for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Scanning microscopy of S. cerevisiae Az-12 and S. aureus confirmed the adhesive ability of the yeast cell surface to S. aureus. S. cerevisiae Az-12 were chosen as the most promising, as they are able to quickly ferment juices. Functional drinks containing pomegranate juice and yeast with a probiotic effect can be considered as a useful synbiotic product formulation.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study is to monitor the implementation of the CHI program for the prevention of dental diseases. Based on the analysis of the monitoring results, the need for adjustment and direction of improvement of the observed process was identified. During the period from 2013 to 2018, there was a slight increase in the volume of preventive care per 1 insured citizen, from 0.186 visits to 0.211, which does not meet the recommended indicator and is insufficient. In the dynamics of expenses per 1 insured citizen, there is a trend of significant growth of 1.93 times. The cost of 1 visit with a preventive purpose in the dynamics also increased by 1.71 times, amounting to 603.16 rubles in 2018. it is Necessary to specify in detail the methodology for conducting a preventive examination, its interpretation and the list of services provided during this period.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study is comparative evaluation of modern mineralizing means and determine the effectiveness of dental caries prevention in adults. The study was conducted on 210 patients between the ages of 35 to 55 years old, divided into 6 equal groups with different means and modes of prevention (gel Tooth Mousse GC, Japan; gel Apaden-Pro Sangi, Japan; gel Fluokal Septodont, France). For dynamic monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention interventions used CPU index, OHI-S, the evaluation of cariesresistance by Nedoseko, acid biopsy of enamel. The most stable results after using gel Tooth Mousse; Apadent-Pro provides the fastest mineralization. Already after the first Apadent-Pro application was a high cariesresistance (Ca/P=1.80±0.41; p<0.01). While rubbing gel Tooth Mousse mineralization was growing gradually. In our view, it is appropriate to combine these medications: one or double rubbing gel Apadent-Pro combine with semi-annual course gel Tooth Mousse. Clinical data and laboratory studies on the effectiveness of the application of various means of preventing persons have senior age groups demonstrated that when personalized approach to the choice of the means of prevention and the multiplicity of their application It is possible to achieve increasing enamel cariesresistance and thus reduce the increase of caries in the population.

ABSTRACT

Laboratory and clinical studies were performed to evaluate the accuracy of common dental radiographic techniques for root canal status assessment before and during endodontic treatment. Cone beam tomography data were used as a reference to assess the possibility of obtaining objective radiographic information on various stages of endodontic treatment.

ABSTRACT

The aim of the current study was to assess antibacterial and cytotoxic properties of Biodentine (Septodont), Rootdent (TehnoDent) and adhesive Futurabond НР (Voco). Two lines of experiments were carried out using cements water solutions and firm tablet-like samples (made by means of special pattern). Citotoxic activity was tested on NCTC L929 mice line fibroblasts culture. All the examined materials showed antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, C. albiсans, St. faecalis, mostly evident in Futurabond and the poorest in Biodentine samples. As for cytotoxic properties, Biodentine proved not to suppress metabolic activity stimulating odontotropic impact. The results confirm the analyzed materials to be a useful tool for deep caries lesions and initial pulpitis treatment.

ABSTRACT

Bacterial contamination under fillings proved to be the main reason for pulp inflammation thus emphasizing the importance of antibacterial properties of restorative materials. The aim of the current study was to assess antibacterial properties of "Biodentine" (Septodont), "Rootdent" (TehnoDent) and adhesive "Futurabond НР" (Voco). Two lines of experiments were carried out using cements water solutions and firm tablet-like samples (made by means of special pattern). All the examined materials showed antibacterial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, C. albiсans, Str. faecalis. The results confirm the analyzed materials to be a useful tool for deep caries lesions treatment.

ABSTRACT

Results of the study testified to the fact that on intraoral X-Ray pictures and orthopantomograms the structure of root canals of all teeth groups were not reflected objectively. The errors of methodical techniques led to considerable loss of their diagnostic comprehension. Conus computer tomography (CCTG) in comparison with spiral computer tomography was more informative and significant method for topographic study of root canals of different teeth groups determinant lower doses of patient's irradiation. Today the most reliable technique for the structure of roots of all teeth groups and root canals spatial location was CCTG in axial projection supplemented by reformative oblique projections. Combination of CCTG before the treatment with intraoral X-Ray pictures after its finishing let objectively assess the quality of the conducted endodontic treatment.

ABSTRACT

The behavior of intact and immobilized invertase in aqueous and water-organic media has been studied. In a water-organic medium, the transferase properties of the enzyme changed: pH optima of intact and immobilized invertase undergo shifts of 0.5 units: the temperature optimum decreases (50 degrees C and 25 degrees C in aqueous and water-organic media, respectively). The extent of conversion of isoamyl alcohol in water-organic medium shows a dependence on several factors (the enzyme and substrate concentrations; amount of the organic phase; and duration of the enzyme incubation with the substrate). Optimum parameters of isoamyl alcohol conversion were used for transforming fusel alcohols into alkyl fructosides. The results of this applied research have important practical implications (conversion of fusel oils of alcoholic beverages).

ABSTRACT

Production of extracellular peroxidase during submerged cultivation of the xylotrophic bazidiomycete Pleurotus ostreatus UZBI-I105 in nutrient media with lignocellulosic wastes, exhausted cottonseed oil cake, cotton stalks, rice husks, or ambary hemp was studied. The enzyme production increased threefold to fivefold in the presence of exhausted cottonseed oil cake extract in the nutrient medium. The dynamics of peroxidase production in various media was investigated.

ABSTRACT

The procedure of isolation and purification of lipases from the fungus Oospora lactis have been developed. The existence of two different lipases has been demonstrated, one of which (Mr = 43000) is localized in the periplasmic space and can be liberated into the external medium in an unchanged form, while the other (Mr = 40000) is tightly bound to the membranes and can be solubilized by detergent treatment. The most essential properties of the lipases are discussed and a detailed analysis of the functional and physicochemical properties of extracellular lipase is given.
