ABSTRACT

In the current era, the theory of vagueness and multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM) techniques are extensively applied by the researchers in disjunctive fields like recruitment policies, financial investment, design of the complex circuit, clinical diagnosis of disease, material management, etc. Recently, trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TNN) draws a major awareness to the researchers as it plays an essential role to grab the vagueness and uncertainty of daily life problems. In this article, we have focused, derived and established new logarithmic operational laws of trapezoidal neutrosophic number (TNN) where the logarithmic base µ is a positive real number. Here, logarithmic trapezoidal neutrosophic weighted arithmetic aggregation (L a r m ) operator and logarithmic trapezoidal neutrosophic weighted geometric aggregation (L g e o ) operator have been introduced using the logarithmic operational law. Furthermore, a new MCGDM approach is being demonstrated with the help of logarithmic operational law and aggregation operators, which has been successfully deployed to solve numerical problems. We have shown the stability and reliability of the proposed technique through sensitivity analysis. Finally, a comparative analysis has been presented to legitimize the rationality and efficiency of our proposed technique with the existing methods.

ABSTRACT

In this article, we propose and analyse a predator-prey model where apart from direct predation the prey population is affected by the fear induced from predators. The reproduction of the prey population is reduced as a cost of fear. The predator is assumed to consume the prey according to ratio-dependent functional response and is also involved in intra-specific competition due to limited resources of food. Through model analysis, it has been observed that fear factor regulates the dynamics of the system in a completely different way than in the case where functional response is only prey dependent. Also, intra-specific competition among predators reduces the effect of fear and it forms a different pattern in the system dynamics than that of the effect of fear. Furthermore, the deterministic model has been extended to a stochastic model by perturbing the natural death rates of both prey and predators. It has been observed that the stochastic system possesses a unique positive solution that is globally stable with respect to anywhere in the interior of the positive quadrant. The stochastic extinction and persistence scenario for both the species have been analysed and a detailed comparison between the deterministic and stochastic models have been done through exhaustive numerical simulation. Finally, numerical simulation has been performed to figure out the impact of fear on the population dynamics.

ABSTRACT

The study investigates the potential of substitution of the conventional carbohydrate nutrient (cellulose) in media with cheap agro-residues for cellobiose dehydrogenase production by Termitomyces clypeatus (CDHtc) under submerged conditions. Different agro-residues tested for enzyme production were characterized using FTIR and XRD analysis. As CDHtc production was highest with tamarind kernel powder (TKP), it was selected for process optimizations through shake-flask fermentations. The optimized parameters were then applied to batch cultures in a 5 L bioreactor that gave enzyme yield (57.4 U mL⁻¹) similar to that obtained under shake-flask fermentations (57.05 U mL⁻¹). The study also made an attempt to predict CDHtc production with respect to time of fermentation and mycelial growth. The specific growth rate and carrying capacity of the mycelia were also determined, and the values lie in the ranges of 0.024-0.027 h⁻¹ and 7.2-7.1 mg mL⁻¹, respectively.
