ABSTRACT

The authors analyse herein the results of using removed dilated autologous veins simultaneously with operations aimed at correcting venous blood circulation in a total of fifty patients presenting with lower-limb trophic ulcers caused by varicose and postthrombotic diseases. The comparison group was composed of forty-four patients subjected to autodermoplasty. In the postoperative period all the patients used mechanical stimulation of angiogenesis for bettering and speeding up the process of healing and regeneration of trophic ulcers. The use of autovenous plastic material appeared to significantly increase the efficacy of treatment of patients. The time of epithelisation averagely amounted to 10 days for varicose and 14 days for postthrombotic ulcers. In the control group healing of varicose trophic ulcers occurred in 91% and in postthrombotic ulcers in 85% of patients. The terms of healing averaged 22 and 29 days, respectively. Autovenous plasty of trophic ulcers in comprehensive treatment with correcting operations is a method turning out to be superior in its efficacy and healing terms to the currently existing wound covers.

ABSTRACT

Results of populational-genetic research of genetic diseases in children up to 14-year-old of the population of Lenkoran district are presented. It was shown that the phenotypic frequencies of hereditary diseases and congenital malformations is 0.274% according to the data of Medical-Labor Expert Commission and 5.12% according to the data of research survey. The high level of multifactoral and autosome-reccessive types of inheritance indicates the high level of consanguine marriages in the population of the studied areas.

ABSTRACT

The results of populational, clinic-genealogical and genetic-demographic research for six villages in Lerik region of Azerbaijan Republic are presented. The frequency of consanguineous marriages according to pedigrees was 62.3% with 32.4% of marriages between cousins. Inbreeding coefficient F = 0.0486 is considerably higher that the mean value for population of the Republic (F = 0.0063). The register of patients with congenital and inherited pathologies in the population of the studied villages has been set up. Genetic screening of glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase erythrocyte enzyme deficiency in schoolchildren revealed high frequency of pathologic gene (36.4%) previously unregistered for the population of the Republic.

ABSTRACT

For the first time, the population investigation on frequency and structure of patho-occlusion in schoolchildren in complex with inbreeding has been carried out in 9 regions of Azerbaijan Republic. The frequency of these pathologies ranged between 22.59-39.94%, at the average frequency 28.03%. Correlation between frequencies of patho-occlusion and inbreeding coefficient in the studied regions was found.
