ABSTRACT

Influence of the preparation "Semaks" at rehabilitation of liquidators of radiating failures on nuclear submarines is studied. The positive effect of this drug on the haemodynamics of the brain, function of heart according to the standard ECG and Holter monitoring, on the mental efficiency, etc. is established.

ABSTRACT

The biological age (BA) of the majority of the liquidators of the consequences of the radiation accidents in the Navy and of the liquidators of the Chernobyl' APS accident exceeds the medium standard and the DBA (due BA). The index of the BA can be a characteristic of the influence of the social-hygienic factors on the health condition of the Special Risk Subunit--the liquidators of the consequences of the radiation accidents. It was established, that the radiation influence concerns to the factors dramatically increasing the BA and the rate of senescence of the liquidators of the consequences of the radiation accidents.

ABSTRACT

This article presents the data about state of health and immunity in veterans of extra risk divisions. The increased morbidity and immunity infringement in the remote terms after nuclear tests, and also while liquidation of consequences of radiating failures on nuclear submarines are shown. Changes of humoral factors of nonspecific protection, concentration of immunoglobulinums, in blood whey, a sensitization of lymphocytes to respiratory viruses, humoral and cellular autoimmune shifts are registered. Some of the revealed changes (complement, lysozyme, concentration of immunoglobulinums) are a consequence of advanced age and accompanying diseases in the people surveyed, and others (autoimmune shifts, a sensitization to respiratory viruses) can be connected with carrying out of tests of the nuclear weapon. Some of immunological changes are apparently a consequence of joined actions of radiating and not radiating factors. Among the last ones stress plays the essential role. For the characteristic of a state of health in 20-40 years after carrying out nuclear tests and possible radiating influence the estimation of autoimmune changes has a great value. The important role of such changes in morbidity of veterans of extra risk divisions is shown.

ABSTRACT

The posttraumatic stress with neurotic and somatic manifestation and the precocious aging was shown in the veterans of special risk subdivisions. The early atherosclerotic involvement of heart vessels, brain, legs etc. was revealed. A significant role in the precocious aging and atherosclerosis of vessels play immune changes: the combination of immunodepressive and autoaggressive states revealed in the veterans.

ABSTRACT

Participants of nuclear-powered submarine accident liquidation and special risk units' veterans participating in surface nuclear weapon tests as well as in liquidation of their consequences have been examined. It has been established that functional state of this category of people is difficult to interpret only in the context of radioactive irradiation effect or injuring stress factor exposure. This state is determined by a complex of psychotraumatic factors tending to become aggravated and characterizing by their individual significance and absolute or relative insolvability. In most representatives of this category the disease is manifested by psychopathologic syndrome of neurotic disorders (low spirits, emotional lability, asthenia, anxiety) and somatic disturbances as dysfunction of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and other systems. The results obtained provide the pathogenetic substantiation of efficient ways and methods for rehabilitation of the special risk units' veterans. The data prove the necessity of appropriate correction of cardiovascular disorders in practically healthy servicemen residing under conditions of psychoemotional tension.

ABSTRACT

Long far after nuclear weapons tests the veterans of special risk subdivisions (SRS) had changes of humoral factors of nonspecific protection, concentration of immunoglobulins in blood serum, lymphocytes sensibleness to respiratory viruses, humoral and cellular autoimmune displacements, raise of turmonecrotic factor content. Some of the revealed changes (complement, lysocim, concentration of immunoglobulins) are bound up with elderly age of examined people and their diseases. The other changes (autoimmune displacements, sensibleness to respiratory viruses) can be bound up with nuclear weapons tests. Some immunology changes occur because of radiation and non-radiation factors, a nervous shock being among them. Estimate of autoimmune changes is important for the health characteristic 20-40 years after nuclear tests and possible radiation influence. The role of such changes is significant in a sick rate of the veterans of special risk subdivisions.

ABSTRACT

The researches of biological age and rates of aging of liquidators of the sequels to radiation accidents were carried out. The biological age (BA) index can serve as a characteristic of social-hygienic factors influence on state of health of the officers and veterans of special risk subdivisions, liquidators of the sequels to radiation accidents. Chronic diseases exert influence on the biological age and proper biological age (PBA) index, increase mean value of BA-PBA index, bring contribution into acceleration of human organism aging. A direct connection between increase of functional class of the BA and duration of service in the Navy and ships was revealed. It was ascertained that radiation influence was a factor that increased the BA and rates of aging of liquidators of the sequels to radiation accidents.
