ABSTRACT

In the trial of the trivalent subunit influenza vaccine Grippovac CE-AK observations on children aged 3-6 years were made. The preparation showed insignificant reactogenicity and moderate antigenic potency. The trial established that at the period of the epidemic rise of influenza B morbidity the vaccine showed, according to the data of the clinical diagnosis of influenza, insignificant effectiveness, its index of effectiveness (IE) being 1.08; according to the data of the serological diagnosis of influenza, only the A (H1N1) component of the vaccine was found to have IE equal to 1.58.

ABSTRACT

The recording or urgent reports in Moscow since 1974 allowed analyzing the cases of purulent and septic diseases for the period of 1974-1978. The features of the time course and morbidity pattern of the disease, its seasonal fluctuations and the time of onset are presented. Thus, a tendency towards a decrease in morbidity was noted during the above period. The leading role of the diseases of the skin and the subcutaneous fat was established, the morbidity reports were found to fall mostly on the first 2 weeks of the infants' life, and the morbidity rate varied in different maternity hospitals. The recording ensured obtaining current data on morbidity, thus allowing forecast and prevention of the disease.

ABSTRACT

The authors propose a definitely-arranged system for organization of reanimation and intensive therapy of children. It includes 5 component elements, viz. rooms and posts of reanimation aid at kindergartens and creches, polyclinics and sanatoria; intensive therapy wards at maternity homes and pediatric hospitals; anesthesiological, reanimation and intensive therapy departments of multispecialized pediatric inpatient departments; reanimation and anesthesiological centers; a consultative travelling reanimation pediatric team. The structural form of the patients' hospitalization at pediatric reanimation departments is analyzed. Of their total number 48 per cent are surgical patients after serious operative interventions on the organs of thoracic and abdominal cavities with multiple injuries and malformations; 27.1 per cent are infectious patients, 11.9 per cent - those suffering from poisonings and 10.7 per cent patients with somatic illnesses.
