ABSTRACT

Spontaneous spinal epidural hematomas are very rare. Only 25% of them are located in the cervical area. Patients who survive an acute spontaneous cervical epidural hematoma are usually left with severe neurological deficits. The case of an elderly patient with an acute cervical epidural hematoma who fully recovered after surgical treatment is presented.
