The article contains data on the norming principles for and the biologic action of polymineralic potassium dusts. The analysis and comparison of experimental and clinical data presented potassium ore as a substance characterized by low toxicity and weak fibrogenic action. In animal studies, the general toxic action of potassium aerosols exceeded the fibrogenic effects. MAC was suggested for working zone areas at 5 mg/m3 (3rd class of hazards).

[Changes in the level of unsaturated fatty acids in rheumatoid arthritis patients during treatment]. / Izmenenie soderzhaniia nenasyshchennykh zhirnykh kislot u bol'nykh revmatoidnym artritom v protsesse lecheniia.

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis showed changes of the fatty acid spectrum manifested in a reduction of the polyunsaturated acids (linoleic, linolenic, arachidonic) and an increase of the level of monounsaturated (oleic, palmithooleinic) depended on the course of the disease. Antirheumatic treatment produced a positive effect, especially gold preparations, on normalization of the level of unsaturated fatty acids in rheumatoid arthritis.

[The prevention of chrysotherapy complications in patients with rheumatoid arthritis]. / Profilaktika oslozhnenii krizoterapii u bol'nykh revmatoidnym artritom.

To prevent side-effects of chrysotherapy for rheumatoid arthritis the authors recommend a treatment scheme under corticosteroid protection. The proposed method was used in 56 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Side-effects manifested in allergic eruptions were noted in 3 patients (5.35%) while in the control group of 34 patients who were treated by chrysotherapy according to the routine method complications were observed in 9 patients (26.47%).
