[Cardiac component of emotional stress in the elk, Alces alces, and the reindeer, Rangifer tarandus]. / Kardial'nyi komponent émotsional'nogo stressa u losa Alces alces i severnogo olenia Rangifer tarandus

Using radiotelemetric technique, extraordinary changes have been found in cardiac activity of the elk and reindeer during spontaneous emotional stress under natural conditions. Cardiac reaction is characterized by rapid 2--3-fold increase in the heart rate and by 3--4-fold increase in the amplitude of T-wave. It was suggested that these changes are associated with abnormalities of metabolic processes in the heart.
