ABSTRACT

Due to the effectiveness and advantages of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) in evaluating uncertainty and risk, we introduce IVIFSs into loss functions of decision-theoretic rough sets (DTRSs) and propose an optimization-based approach to interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy three-way decisions. First, based on the classical DTRSs and two previous optimization models, we construct a new concise linear programming model for simultaneously determining the threshold pair. Our model is mathematically equivalent to the DTRSs and the previous models under the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) condition. Second, we extend the constructed model via the IVIFSs of loss functions and we discuss the relations between these loss functions based on a similarity measure function-based ranking method and a multiple score function-based ranking method for IVIFSs. Third, we develop our extended models via two ranking methods and we prove the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solution of the model. The optimization-based method, along with its algorithm for three-way decisions, is designed in an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Compared to the latest existing methods, our method has three advantages (see Advantages 1-3). Finally, an illustrative example is considered, and the advantages of our approach are demonstrated by this example.

ABSTRACT

Prior studies have investigated the issue of public health and health policy from economic, environmental, and healthcare perspectives. Research on public health from leaders' perspective may also help to advance our knowledge about leaders' perceptions, attitudes, and behavioral intentions toward public health management. Therefore, this study is based on social ideal theory, social cognitive theory, and social trust theory to investigate the influence of leaders' future orientation on public health investment intention with the mediating role of leaders' self-efficacy and the moderating role of perceived social support. Using a structural equation modeling with a sample data of 381 leaders of government agencies in Vietnam, empirical results indicate that leaders' future orientation has a positive influence on public health investment intention. Furthermore, self-efficacy is found to have a positive mediating effect in the relationship between leaders' future orientation and public health investment intention. In addition, perceived social support positively moderates the link between leaders' future orientation and self-efficacy. Perceived social support also moderates the indirect effect of leaders' future orientation on public health investment intention through self-efficacy. On one hand, this study contributes to theoretical research by clarifying the effects of leaders' perceptions, and cognitive and behavioral intentions toward public health investment. Findings of this study may have implications for researchers who may have interest in studying the issue of public health management from leaders' viewpoints. On the other hand, this study contributes to practitioners since understanding how leaders' characteristics affect public health investment will enhance the quality of policy makers' decision-making in improving public health for citizens and society.

ABSTRACT

Green food consumption is a core issue that contributes to solving environmental pollution and achieving sustainable development. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of green food consumption and social trust in the relationship between perceived consumer effectiveness and psychological wellbeing to provide new insights into green food consumption, based on social ideal theory and social trust theory. Using a sample data of 514 consumers in China, the results of structural equation modeling showed that perceived consumer effectiveness was positively related to psychological wellbeing. Furthermore, green food consumption mediated the relationship between perceived consumer effectiveness and psychological wellbeing. In addition, social trust moderated the relationship between perceived consumer effectiveness and green food consumption. Social trust also moderated the indirect effect of perceived consumer effectiveness on psychological wellbeing through green food consumption. The findings of this study enrich the extant literature relating to green food consumption and have practical implications for business managers and policymakers.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the relationship between environmental orientation and firm performance with the mediating role of green supply chain management (GSCM). This study uses a survey questionnaire to collect data from 247 CEOs from Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Structural equation modeling is used to analyze data and test hypotheses. Empirical results show that internal and external environmental orientations are positively related to the three elements of GSCM, namely, environmental selection, monitoring, and collaboration with suppliers which are also positively related to firm performance. In addition, results show that environmental selection, monitoring, and collaboration with suppliers mediates the relationship between internal and external environmental orientations and firm performance. The findings provide important implications for academic researchers and business managers in planning and implementing environmental strategies. In terms of theoretical implications, this study sheds a new light to current knowledge about the effect of environmental orientation on GSCM and firm performance of SMEs. This study also provides empirical evidence to clarify the mediating mechanism of GSCM in the link between environmental orientation and firm performance of SMEs. In terms of practical implications, this study provides knowledge for managers of SMEs to better understand the important role of environmental orientation and green supply chain management. Findings of this study provide knowledge for managers of SMEs to make their business policies better.
