ABSTRACT

There was investigated the influence of zinc complex with enzymatic hydrolyzate of mussels' meat added into zinc-deficient diet on a body mass rats, contents in blood alimentary antigen and activity alkalis phosphatase The results obtained showed a good advance of mussels' meat enzymatic hydrolyzate complex with zinc use in food supplements and dietary (clinical and preventive) products as a new food source of bioavailable zinc. issels' ntents and wfood

ABSTRACT

Effectivity was studied of a new dietary product enriched with organic form of selenium--laminaria gel in patients with ischemic heart disease and hypertonia. Functional condition of nervous and cardiovascular systems improved after intake of testing product. There were no any adverse changes in biochemical indices of patients receiving studied product. Intake of the product gave reliable increase in the selenium levels of blood serum only in patients with low content of this trace element.

ABSTRACT

Bioavailability of zinc complex with enzymatic hydrolysate of milk protein (EHMP) was studied in Wistar rats. Body mass, zinc content in os femoris and serum alkaline phosphatase activity were similar in rats receiving Zn-EHMP and zinc sulphate and were significantly higher than in animals fed with basal semi synthetic zinc-deficient diet. Apparent absorption of both Zn sources in rat's intestine was high (more than 70%) probably due to absence of plant dietary fiber in applied diet. Zinc organic form use in fortification of food is discussed.

ABSTRACT

There was conducted a comparative study of organic and inorganic selenium forms bioavailability and of an influence of said trace elements safety on growth parameters and glutathione peroxidase activity in male wister rats. The results obtained confirmed an advance of organic selenium use (as an enzymatic yeast hydrolysate) on comparison to it's inorganic form (sodium selenite).
