El seroma de Morel-Lavallée consiste en una separación de la piel y el tejido celular subcutáneo con respecto a la fascia muscular, lo que origina un espacio que se rellena por líquido. Se presenta el caso de un niño de ocho años que acudió a nuestra consulta por tumefacción fluctuante tras antecedente traumático


Morel-Lavallée seroma consists of a separation of the skin and the subcutaneous cellular tissue from the muscular fascia, which originates a space that is filled by liquid. We present the case of an eight-year-old boy who went to our medical office for fluctuating swelling after traumatic antecedent

ABSTRACT

La presencia de cuerpos extraños en partes blandas es un diagnóstico frecuente en Pediatría. La mayor parte de las veces penetran en el organismo de forma accidental y la consulta se produce tras percibir el traumatismo que propició su entrada o cuando aparecen complicaciones. Ante la sospecha diagnóstica, es importante la realización de las pruebas complementarias que nos permitan caracterizar la lesión, así como delimitar la extensión de esta, siendo la ecografía de partes blandas el procedimiento de elección para ello


The presence of foreign bodies in soft tissues is a frequent diagnosis in Pediatrics. Almost always, they penetrate in the body accidentally and the consultation takes place after perceiving the traumatism that caused its entrance or when complications appear. Given the diagnostic suspicion, it is important to carry out complementary tests that allow us to characterize the lesion, as well as to delimit the extension of the same one being the soft-tissue ultrasound the procedure of election for it
