ABSTRACT

The effects of humic acid water-soluble fertilizer on the growth and physiological characteristics of Bupleurum chinense seedlings(Zhongchai No.1) were studied by using a single factor experiment design. When the seedling age was 60 days, the humic acid water-soluble fertilizer was diluted 1 200 times(T1), 1 500 times(T2), 1 800 times(T3), and 2 100 times(T4) for seedling treatment, respectively, and water was used as the control(CK). The effects of different treatments on growth indexes, biomass accumulation, root activity, antioxidant enzyme activity, membrane lipid peroxidation, and photosynthetic characteristics of B. chinense seedlings were analyzed after 30 days. The results showed that compared with CK, stem height, leaf number, root diameter, and root length of the B. chinense seedlings under T3 treatment were significantly increased by 36.82%, 37.03%, 42.78%, and 22.38%, respectively. Root fresh weight, leaf fresh weight, root dry weight, and leaf dry weight under T3 treatment were significantly increased by 90.36%, 98.68%, 123.84%, and 104.38%, respectively. In addition, humic acid water-soluble fertilizer also enhanced TTC reducing activity of the root of B. chinense seedlings, inhibited malonaldehyde(MDA) content, increased superoxide dismutase(SOD), peroxidase(POD), and catalase(CAT) enzyme activities, improved chlorophyll content, and enhanced P_n, G_s, T_r, and other photosynthetic parameters. In conclusion, the application of humic acid water-soluble fertilizer diluted 1 800 times can significantly promote the growth of B. chinense seedlings, enhance root vitality, improve seedling stress resistance, and enhance photosynthesis. The results of this study can provide a theoretical basis for fertilization of B. chinense seedlings.

ABSTRACT

To solve the serious problem of stem and leaf shading in the middle and late stage of traditional flat planting of Codonopsis pilosula, this study analyzed the effects of different stereoscopic traction heights on the photosynthetic characteristics and growth of C. pilosula and explored the optimal traction height to improve the yield and quality of C. pilosula. The experiment designed three stereo-scopic traction heights [H1(60 cm), H2(90 cm), and H3(120 cm)] with natural growth without traction as the control(CK). The results showed that the increase in stereoscopic traction heights broadened the growth space of stems and leaves of C. pilosula, enhanced the ventilation effect, significantly increased the average daily net photosynthetic rate of C. pilosula, promoted the absorption of intercellular CO_2, decreased the transpiration rate, and reduced the evaporation of water. Moreover, it effectively avoided the problem of weakened photosynthesis, maintained the carbon balance of individual plants, and promoted the growth and development of the C. pilosula roots. In terms of the seed yield of C. pilosula, it was ranked as H2>H1>H3>CK. To be specific, H1 increased by 213.41% compared with CK, H2 increased by 282.43% compared with CK, and H3 increased by 133.95% compared with CK. The yield and quality of C. pilosula were the highest in the H3 treatment group, with the fresh yield of 6 858.33 kg·hm~(-2), 50.59% higher than CK, dry yield of 2 398.33 kg·hm~(-2), 76.54% higher than CK, and lobetyolin content of 0.56 mg·g~(-1), 45.22% higher than CK. Therefore, the stereoscopic traction height has a great influence on the photosynthetic characteristics, yield, and quality of C. pilosula. Particularly, the yield and quality of C. pilosula can be optimized and improved in the traction height treatment of H3(120 cm). This planting method is worth popularizing and applying in the cultivated management of C. pilosula.

ABSTRACT

Background: Aphasia is a common complication of stroke and is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in the comprehensive management of post-stroke aphasia and its consequences. However, bibliometric analysis in the field of post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation is still lacking. This study aimed to comprehensively identify assistance networks, analyze research trends, focus on hot and cutting-edge health topics related to post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation, and inform future research guidelines. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) electronic database was searched from inception to January 4, 2023 to identify studies related to post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation. Bibliometric analysis and visualization of country, institution, journal, author, reference, and keywords were performed using CiteSpace and VOSviewer software. Results: A total of 2,325 papers were included in the analysis, with a progressive increase in the number of articles published each year. The USA was the country with the most publications (809 articles), and the University of Queensland was the institution with the most publications (137 articles). The subject area of post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation is dominated by clinical neurology (882 articles). Aphasiology was the journal with the most publications (254 articles) and the most cited journal (6,893 citations). Worrall L was the most prolific author (51 publications), and Frideriksson J was the most cited author (804 citations). Conclusion: By using bibliometrics, we provided a comprehensive review of studies related to post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation. Future research hotspots on topics related to post-stroke aphasia rehabilitation will mainly focus on the plasticity mechanisms of neurolinguistics networks, language function assessment, language rehabilitation modalities, and patients' rehabilitation needs and participation experiences in post-stroke aphasia. This paper provides systematic information that is worth exploring in the future.

ABSTRACT

Pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit is one of the commonly used traditional Chinese medicine with tuber as medicine. We report herein the complete chloroplast genome sequence of Pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit. It is length of 167,280 bp, which contained a small single-copy (SSC) region of 23,618 bp and a large single-copy (LSC) region of 92,450 bp, separated by two copies of an inverted repeat (IR) of 25,606 bp. The chloroplast genome contains 113 unique genes, including 79 PCG, 4 rRNA genes, and 30 tRNA genes. In addition, 19 genes contained one or two introns, which of those including 13 PCG genes possess a single intron and 2 PCG genes harbor two introns; and 6 tRNA genes harbor a single intron. In this study, Pinellia ternata is sister to Pinellia pedatisecta and clustered within the group consisting of the species that belong to Araceae.

ABSTRACT

In this contribution, bovine serum albumin stabilized gold nanoclusters as novel fluorescent probes were successfully utilized for the detection of ciprofloxacin for the first time. Our prepared gold nanoclusters exhibited strong emission with peak maximum at 635 nm. Cu(2+) was employed to quench the strong fluorescence of the gold nanoclusters, whereas the addition of ciprofloxacin caused the fluorescence intensity restoration of the Cu(2+)-gold nanoclusters system. The increase in fluorescence intensity of Cu(2+)-gold nanoclusters system caused by ciprofloxacin allows the sensitive detection of ciprofloxacin in the range of 0.4 ng mL(-1) to 50 ng mL(-1). The detection limit for ciprofloxacin is 0.3 ng mL(-1) at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The present sensor for ciprofloxacin detection possesses a low detection limit and wide linear range. In addition, the real samples were analyzed with satisfactory results.
