ABSTRACT

Four young female patients with Pseudodixanthome elasticum are reported, corresponding to the Grönblad and Strandberg syndrome. The dysplastic derangement of the elastic fibers with a potentially systemic compromise is considered, which explains the multiorganic character of the disease. We conferred to the skin changes the means of a marker that obligates an exhaustive study and follow-up of the patients to make visceral affectations.

ABSTRACT

Two female patients, with similar clinical characteristics, having as only dermatological manifestation large retroauricular plaques, on their surface could be seen many keratinic follicular cysts with an unspecific lichenoid inflammatory reaction. This entity is studied according to the revised bibliography, reaching the conclusion that they are real infundibulo-pilous cysts in plaques, with a very peculiar localisation, which are not red lichen planus. The authors think that this affection should be considered as an autonomous anatomo-clinical entity.

ABSTRACT

A case of atopic dermatitis with it's classics signs in face and extremities, with an eight years evolution is reported. It was treated with corticoids (local and systemic) with no favorable results. In the allergic investigation it was found a sensibilization to nickel. She was cured by eliminating the nickel from her diet and from the objects in contact. Clinic and etiopathogenic considerations between allergic dermatitis by contact to nickel in the atopic and the non-atopic are made.

ABSTRACT

Twenty eight patients with allergic contact dermatitis were studied by epicutaneous tests, which showed 88 positive reactions. Re-tested 2-3 months later with the same allergen of the positive reactions, 14 were negative (15.9%). This decrease can be due to the Excited Skin Syndrome. The causes which can provoke false positive cutaneous reactions are considered and the inherent to this syndrome, also called "Angry Back Syndrome" are analyzed.
