ABSTRACT

Blue carbon in mangrove ecosystems contributes significantly to the global carbon cycle. However, large uncertainties maintain in the soil organic carbon (SOC) storage throughout the tide-induced salinity and alkalinity transect in the mangrove restoration region in Southern China. Total 125 soil samples were obtained to detect the SOC content and physicochemical properties. The mean SOC content of each layer ranged from 6.82 to 7.86 g kg-1, while the SOC density ranged from 2.99 to 11.41 kg m-2, increasing with soil depths. From different land covers in the study region, the SOC content varied from 4.63 to 9.71 g kg-1, increasing across the salinity and alkalinity transect, while the SOC density fluctuated from 3.01 kg m-2 in mudflats to 10.05 kg m-2 in mangrove forests. SOC concentration was favorably linked with total nitrogen (r = 0.95), and total phosphorus (r = 0.74), and negatively correlated with Cl- (r = - 0.95), electrical conductivity (r = - 0.24), and total dissolved solids (r = - 0.08). There were significant logarithmic relationships between SOC content and the concentrations of clay (r = 0.76), fine silt (r = 0.81), medium silt (r = - 0.82), and coarse silt (r = - 0.78). The spatial patterns of SOC concentration were notably affected by soil texture, physicochemical properties, and land-cover type, providing essential reference for future investigations of blue carbon budget in restored mangrove forests.

ABSTRACT

Gardenia jasminoides Ellis is a traditional aromatic and medicinal plant in China. Here, the complete chloroplast genome of a wild-type gardenia adapted to island climate was assembled. The assembled genome was 155,247 bp in length, with four typical regions, i.e., a large single-copy (LSC) region (85,414 bp), a small single-copy (SSC) region (18,235 bp) and two inverted repeats (IRs) regions (25,799 bp each). In total, 138 genes were predicted, including 90 protein-coding genes, 40 tRNA genes and eight rRNA genes. The overall GC content of the chloroplast genome was 37.5%. The chloroplast genome would provide more information for the phylogeography and phylogeny study of G. jasminoides.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To form the consensus of nursing experts in accelerated rehabilitation surgery in perioperative period of chronic rhinosinusitis in order to promote the standardized development of accelerated rehabilitation surgery nursing in perioperative period of chronic rhinosinusitis in China. Methods:By consulting the literature evidence and combining with the clinical practice experience, the consensus draft was formed by more than 5 nurses in charge of nursing. According to the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation System, (GRADE), the evidence quality and recommendation grade of each item were evaluated. Results:The consensus covered 4 aspects of pre-hospital care guidance, including preoperative care, postoperative care, and discharge care for chronic rhinosinusitis, with a total of 12 items, including health education, individualized treatment guidance, network platform use, adaptive training, diet management, activity guidance, pain management, and discharge follow-up.Conclusions:The content of this consensus covers all aspects of accelerated rehabilitation surgery nursing during perioperative period of chronic rhinosinusitis, which is scientific, rigorous and authoritative, and can provide reference and guidance for accelerated rehabilitation surgery nursing in the perioperative period of chronic rhinosinusitis.

ABSTRACT

With mixed transition-metal-complex, alkali-metal, or organic cations as structure-directing agents, a series of novel two-dimensional (2D) layered inorganic-organic hybrid iodoargentates, namely, Kx[TM(2,2-bipy)3]2Ag6I11 (TM = Mn (1), Fe (2), Co (3), Ni (4), Zn (5); x = 0.89-1) and [(Ni(2,2-bipy)3][H-2,2-bipy]Ag3I6 (6), have been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. All the title compounds feature 2D microporous layers composed by [Ag3I7] secondary building units based on AgI4 tetrahedra. Differently, the [Ag3I7] trimers are directly interconnected via corner-sharing to form the 2D [Ag6I11](5-) layer in compounds 1-5, whereas two neighboring [Ag3I7] trimers are initially condensed into a hexameric [Ag6I12] ternary building unit as a new node, which further self-assembles, leading to the 2D [Ag6I10](4-) layer in compound 6. The UV-vis diffuse-reflectance measurements reveal that all the compounds possess proper semiconductor behaviors with tunable band gaps of 1.66-2.75 eV, which lead to highly efficient photocatalytic degradation activities over organic pollutants under visible light irradiation compared to that of N-dotted P25. Interestingly, all the samples feature distinct photodegradative speeds at the same reaction conditions, and compound 1 features the highest photocatalytic activity among the title phases. The luminescence properties, band structures, and thermal stabilities were also studied.

ABSTRACT

In the title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(14)H(11)N(3)O(3))], the Sn atom is in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination, with Sn-O distances of 2.138 (2) and 2.176 (2) Å. The dihedral angles between the two chelated benzene rings and the O-Sn-N group are 71.73 (9) and 83.30 (9)°.
