ABSTRACT

En la asistencia a pacientes afectados por traumatismopenetrante en el medio extrahospitalario debemos seguirunas premisas básicas: a) rapidez en la asistencia sanitaria;b) seleccionar el recurso de transporte idóneo al centro dereferencia; y c) derivación a centro útil, en las cuales elservicio HEMS tiene un papel preponderante. Se realizauna revisión bibliográfica de la atención inicial del traumapenetrante y, además, se presenta un caso clínico de unvarón de 40 años con traumatismo penetrante en tórax yglúteo sin afectación vascular ni visceral significativa perocon ocupación del canal medular. Se discute el abordaje ymanejo del paciente, así como su resolución(AU)


In the assistance to patients affected by penetratingtrauma in the extrahospital EMS we must know a basicpremises: a) rapidity in the medical assistance; b) to selectthe resource of suitable transport to the center of reference;y 3) derivation to useful center, in which the serviceHEMS has a preponderant role. It is realized a bibliographicalreview of the initial attention of the penetrating traumaand in addition one presents a clinical case of a 40-year-old male with penetrating trauma in thorax and legswithout vascular affectation not visceral significant butwith occupation of the spinal cord. There is discussed theboarding and managing of the patient as well as the bestresolution(AU)
