Developing an evidence-based approach to falls-risk assessment.

Falls may result in serious injury and loss of confidence, especially in older patients. This paper describes how one trust was able to identify lessons from its critical incident reporting systems and how, in response, it developed an evidence-based approach to falls-risk assessment by using critically appraised research to substantiate their practice.
