ABSTRACT

This is a study on the importance of the differential diagnosis between Obsessive Neurosis and Psychosis, especially between that and paranoia. The justification for choosing the theme and elaborating the research is based on the author's clinical practice, and on the interest that was mobilized in the care of obsessive men and women. The general objective of the study was to analyze the clinical aspects of obsessional neurosis, with an emphasis on differential diagnosis and the clinical difference between Obsessive Neurosis and Paranoia. It was concluded that Freud divided neurosis and psychosis into two stages: one was related to the loosening of the relationship with reality, and when the processes that aim to compensate for the damaged part of the id are set up, the second moment is established.(AU).
