ABSTRACT

Climate change and climate finance continue to attract substantial research interest in several dimensions and categories through COVID-19 breakout and resulting disruptions were crucial. An in-depth scientometric analysis was undertaken to gain concise insights on evolution and publication trends of this multi-dimensional field. Corpus of 657 articles, extracted from Web of Science from 1995 to 2020, were used to identify networks of co-authorship, keywords, subject categories, institutions, and countries engaged in publishing on climate finance along with co-citation and cluster analysis. Networks and interactive visualizations created using CiteSpace revealed new research areas where climate finance may be beneficial along with potential directions of development for climate finance discipline. We identify carbon neutrality, accounting for sustainability, planetary boundaries framework, sustainable finance, managing climate risk for third pole, financial innovation and green finance, green swans, COVID pandemic and corporate law and governance in climate finance as emerging domains of climate finance research, seeking overwhelming research attention globally.

ABSTRACT

This paper deals with innovation viewed through the triple helix model as a milestone in the contemporary society of knowledge-based economies. Our goal is to empirically investigate the (in)efficient utilisation of academia, industry and government as three helices in order to boost innovations. Therefore, we construct a sample of 30 developed OECD countries with data covering the period from 2006 to 2018 and set up an input-oriented BCC data envelopment analysis that employs variables with non-negative average values over the entire period to calculate their efficiency scores. Our estimates from the radial models show that countries could reduce their inputs by a mean value of 11.9 per cent and keep their level of innovations in the triple helix model and by a mean of 5.8 per cent on average in the extended quintuple helix model. We find higher total inefficiencies in the non-radial models, which amount to 25.3 per cent on average in the triple helix model and 21.8 per cent on average in the quintuple helix model. The breakdown of the inefficiency score for different inputs reveals that countries have the largest potential for reducing CO2 emissions and the least room to reduce the Education Index and Civil Society Participation.

ABSTRACT

This research article investigates the effect of organisational climate and technology usage on employees' physiological and emotional health damage resulting from face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying at the workplace. Furthermore, we investigated emotional intelligence as a coping strategy to moderate employee physiological and emotional health damage. The research used a quantitative research design. A five-point Likert-scale questionnaire was used to collect data from a multistage sample of 500 officials from Pakistan's four service sectors. Results revealed that organisational climate and technology usage are negatively related to face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying at the workplace. At the same time, workplace bullying adversely affects an employee's emotional and physiological health. However, emotional intelligence can reduce an employee's emotional health damage due to workplace bullying. Thus, we suggest incorporating emotional intelligence training at the workplace to minimise the devastating effects of face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying on employees' physical and emotional health.
