ABSTRACT

1. In case of severe surgical infections in childhood typical changes of immunologic parameters can be found. The more extensive the more severe the disease process. 2. The immunologic changes are combined with disorders of interferon production. 3. The clinical importance of these findings with respect of the prognosis and outcome of the infection is discussed.

ABSTRACT

1. In case of severe surgical infections in childhood the haemostatic system may be involved combined with aggregation of thrombocytes and disseminated intravascular coagulation. 2. The possible changes of haemostatic system are discussed. 3. The effect of therapeutical correction using heparin, gamma-tocopherol, nicotinic acid, fitin, kurantil and fresh plasma on the haemostatic system values have been analyzed.

ABSTRACT

1. In case of encopresis in childhood about 50% are caused by disorders of perceiving the need to relieve the bowels and bowel movement, about 30% are caused by disorders of controlling the adaptation mechanism of the rectum or the defecation reflex and about 15% are caused by disorders of the sphincter apparatus. 2. A nonsurgical therapy must be a complex one. Its effect has to aim at concerning the psychoneurologic state, conalizing the reflexes, bettering the conductivity of the nerves as well as enhancing the sphincter-tonus. In addition to psychotherapy, gymnastics and sphincter-training the transrectal and intrarectal electrostimulation is of great importance. 3. To form an estimate of the mechanism of encopresis-pathogenesis many different methods are necessary and possible; these are the precondition for an effective differentiated therapy.

ABSTRACT

1. The possibilities of diagnostics and treatment of an intestinal invagination in children by the help of a colonileoscopy are discussed. 2. Clinico-endoscopical comparisons of ileocaecal invaginations in children and their connections with the sphincteric function of the Bauhin's ileocaecal valve are made.

ABSTRACT

1. In case of a pyloric spasm the proposed method uses to bring about in 90 per cent of the cases a healing effect. 2. The method appears to be effective in differentiating pyloric spasms from pyloric stenoses. 3. The method in question admits to suppose the pylorospasm to be a clinical picture of a neurosis in the pyloric part of the stomach in which the morbid neuro-reflex arc between the pylorus and the central nervous system will close. 4. The method confirms the theory of the symbiosis of pyloric spasm and pyloric stenosis in case of the pathogenesis of the pylorostenosis.
