ABSTRACT

Gonadal dysgenesis is defined by incomplete or defect forming of gonads, a result of disturbed process of migration of germ cells or and their correct organization in gonadal ridge. The combination of dysgenetic gonads and Y chromosome is a prerequisite for developing ovarian neoplasma--most frequent gonadoblastoma. We present a case of mixed gonadal dysgenesis at a patient with caryotype 46XY in combination with gonadoblastoma.

ABSTRACT

The syndrome of testicular feminization is characterized by female phenotype in the presence of male gonads and has a population frequency of 1:20,000 to 1:60,000. The authors report of 2 cases with this syndrome. Its rarity, diagnostic evaluation and follow-up by the gynecologist are of interest.

ABSTRACT

The results are announced of the treatment of 64 (1.28%) complicated incisions after 4981 obstetric and gynecological interventions over a 3-year period. The cases observed are distributed in two groups: Group One--30 patients treated with the medicinal and surgical methods used in traditional clinic practice, and Group Two--34 patients undergone laser therapy. Comparing the results of the treatment the authors arrive at the conclusions that the He-Neon laser has a place in the treatment of complicated incisions in obstetric and gynecological practices helping to avoid certain allergic reactions, to reduce considerably the hospital stay and therefore has an economic effect.
