ABSTRACT
Se realiza una investigación para estudiar el comportamiento de infecciones intrahospitalarias en el Hospital Pediátrico Docente Gral Pedro Agustín Pérez, en los años 2005 y 2006. De los 114 casos infectados se precisa: edad, sexo, servicio y localización. Se evalúan los pacientes estudiados por microbiología, gérmenes causales, control de la calidad de desinfectantes y de esterilización, mortalidad causada y letalidad. Se concluye que los varones menores de 1 año fueron los más afectados, el servicio de nutrición el de mayor tasa. El tracto respiratorio alto fue la localización más frecuente, entre otras. Se emiten recomendaciones para el control de sepsis nosocomial(AU)
An investigation is done to study the behavior of nosocomial infections at the Pediatric Hospital General Pedro Agustín Pérez, during 2005 and 2006 .taking into consideration, 114 infected cases were precised: age, sex, service and location. Studied Patients were evaluated by microbiology, causal germs, quality control of disinfectants and sterilization, mortality and lethality. As a conclusion, men younger than 1 year were the most affected, the service of nutrition had the highest rate. The upper respiratory tract was the most common, among others.making recommendations for the control of nosocomial sepsis
