ABSTRACT

The cases of pregnancy in the rudimentary horn are probably the rarest Mullerian anomalies. More often the pregnancy ends with an abortion in the first or the end of the second trimester. Extremely rarely (1% of the cases) end with a live birth. The authors examine and describe a case which successfully ended with a birth of a live fetus in 32 gestation week after a rupture of cornual pregnancy. Special attention is paid to the diagnostical difficulties, which are characteristic for these cases. It is reasonable in the cases of extrauterine pregnancy to think of a pregnancy in the rudimentary horn as well.

ABSTRACT

Pregnancy, child-bearing and puerperium raise different problems in front of obstetricians and gynecologist in regard to the type and gravidity of concomitant cardiac defects. During the time period of 1985-1989 the number of child-bearing women with cardiac diseases has increased about 7 times where 76.3% of them aged from 21 to 30 years. With acquired valvular defects were 152 of them (62.2%) with congenital defects were 58 (23.5%) and with vascular diseases--34 (13.9%). A normal birth rate was 41.1% and a caesarean birth--44.1%. Conclusions are drawn and advice are offered considering methods of delivery and behavior throughout pregnancy and puerperium.

ABSTRACT

The possibilities of current conservative treatment were studied on parturients with pelvic thrombophlebitis and lung thromboembolism. It was established that performance of total hysterectomy or usage of vena cava filter in parturients with pelvic thrombophlebitis and lung thromboembolism should be made after careful evaluation and after trials of current conservative treatment (venous application of antibiotics from the sixth generation, metronidazol preparations and heparin).

ABSTRACT

Immunoglobulins G, A and M were determined in sera of parturients up to the sixth day after delivery. The study was carried out on 20 parturients, 17 of whom had normal pregnancy and parturition, 2 of whom underwent preterm delivery and one parturient suffered from pre-eclampsia. Immunoglobulins were determined from the first to the sixth day after delivery. The method of determination was immunodiffusion with Tripartagen Behring Institute. The authors established higher level of immunoglobulin G on the sixth day after delivery than immediately after delivery. There were no significant differences in the established ranges of immunoglobulin A. Immunoglobulin M showed higher values in the parturient with pre-eclampsia during pregnancy and this fact deserves further study.

ABSTRACT

Alpha-fetoprotein was determined in the sera of parturients with normal pregnancy and delivery, parturients with preterm delivery and with preeclampsia. Alpha-fetoprotein was determined by the plates of Behring Institute. The authors established that after delivery alpha-fetoprotein did not differ substantially in the separate groups. Furthermore till the eight day after delivery the reduction of alpha-fetoprotein was minimal with the exception in the parturients with preterm delivery.

ABSTRACT

The therapeutic possibilities of the chemotherapeutic preparation Nolicine were studied. Clinical and laboratory parameters were followed in dynamics as well as microbiological examination of lochial and wounded secretion in dynamics. The results from the study showed that the applied preparation, when its usage is contemplated with the isolated bacterial flora, is suitable for treatment of some postpartal infections especially in women, who are allergic to antibiotics.

ABSTRACT

The immunologic status of some groups of women from the obstetric practice was, studied by using some routine immunologic tests. BT test and C-reactive protein were used in parturients with complicated puerperium. Pregnant women with preserved amniotic sac at tenth lunar month were investigated as well as pregnant women with declared labour activity and ruptured amniotic sac and women with normal pos-partial period and parturients with inflammatory process (complicated puerperium). It was established a statistically significant lowering of active and total T-rosette forming cells and increased level of immunoglobulin G in women with declared labour activity and ruptured amniotic sac. There were lowered values of active T-lymphocytes in parturients with inflammatory complications. The performed studies on these women showed that the usage of BT test and determination of C-reactive protein were indicative methods presenting clear picture of the instant state of the infected organism.
