ABSTRACT

Uterine hemangiopericytoma is reported in a 49 years old woman. It is a very rare tumour. The treatment of choice is total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Uterine hemangiopericytoma are of low malignancy with favourable prognosis and do seldom recur.

ABSTRACT

Among 7,600 pregnancies between 1980 and 1985 five stillbirths were noted caused by umbilical vein thrombosis for an incidence of 1:1,500. Demonstration of a typical case. Umbilical vein thrombosis in gestation has previously been thought to be a fatal condition. In future chances of sufficiently well-timed intervention may be possible via closely meshed checkup controls with umbilical vein flow measurement.

ABSTRACT

A centralization of the pregnant cardiacs within the districts of the GDR is discussed based upon an analysis of the centre for cardio-angiopathies during pregnancy in Brno and own experiences. A formerly demand for a high-specialised medical care and hospitalisation for pregnant women with cardio-angiopathies seems not to be necessary.

ABSTRACT

Strips of myometrium, obtained from patients during caesarean section, were measured for strainability and strength and statistically analysed. An anatomic interpretation of the findings is discussed. The data obtained will facilitate calculation of forces and their likely behavior in accidents during pregnancy.

ABSTRACT

This is a case report on a severe injury to the female genital organ with subtotal rupture of the uterus caused by rape. The surgical approach taken to the case is discussed together with problems relating to more recent pregnancy. Caesarean section was the primary approach taken in the knowledge of excessive destruction of the uterine ligaments. Birth was given to an intact infant.

ABSTRACT

A case of cesarean section in moribunda is reported. The patient died on spontaneous subarachnoid and cerebral hemorrhage due to an angioma arteriovenosum aneurysmaticum of the right arteria cerebri media. Medical problems and the indication for a section in such cases are discussed. In non letal maternal diseases a section in moribunda should be separated from a cesarean section in extremis.
