ABSTRACT

The authors with the goal of postoperative dynamic control over the results of surgical treatment of patients previously operated for salivary stone disease and various ducts deformations of the parotid salivary glands examined 16 patients with an observation period up to 8 years. It was found that recurrent acute parotitis or recurrence of stone formation was observed in 100% of cases. The authors developed methods of surgical treatment leads to long-term clinical success with no recurrence of the disease.

ABSTRACT

The paper summarizes authors experience in treatment of 14 patients with congenital parotid ducts deformities (megastenon type). The results showed reconstructive surgical treatment to be sufficiently effective in such cases. If restoration of parotid function is not possible one should consider interventions for secretion reduction and duct walls excision.

ABSTRACT

The overview of the results of development, verification and application of the methods of individual retrospective physical dosimetry among population of settlements contaminated with radionuclides, which suffered from irradiation as a result of the accident in Chernobyl NPP, and among the population located in the vicinity of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site is presented in the paper. The estimations of sensitivity of the methods of physical retrospective dosimetry are shown. The data on individual doses among population, which was irradiated as a result of accidental irradiation are presented as well.
