ABSTRACT

A direct method for high-accuracy measurement of the reflex time of the knee jerk is suggested. The method is based on the use of a reflex meter consisting of three basic elements: an electronic stopwatch timer and devices for remote switch-on and switch-off of the timer. The electronic stopwatch timer provides measurement accuracy up to 0.01 sec. The switch-on and switch-off devices are implemented as independently acting systems. The first device switches on the electronic stopwatch timer when the hammer strikes the tendon. The second device switches the stopwatch timer off as the leg jerks. Thus, the stopwatch timer measures the reflex time of the knee jerk. This time is used in diagnosis of the thyroid state.

ABSTRACT

We propose non-pharmacological treatment of autoimmune thyroid diseases--interval hypoxic training (IHT). The course of hypoxytherapy improves the patients's condition, normalizes the level of thyroid hormones in the blood, has an immunomodulating action. Positive hormonal, immunological and clinical effects observed in patients with autoimmune pathology after IHT validate its use in autoimmune thyropathy both in combination with conventional drug therapy and as monotherapy.

ABSTRACT

The method of express-diagnostics of thyroid diseases on a degree of moisture of the skin integument which is one of clinical attributes of hypothyroidism (a skin is dry, shelled, with sites of keratinization) and hyperthyroidism at which the return picture is observed, i.e. the (increased humidity of a skin is offered. At the same time as a parameter describing a degree of moisture of skin is a relative humidity of the air environment which are taking place above the skin integument in conditions of thermodynamic equilibrium. The instrument is a hermetic glass in which the sensor of humidity is mounted. Studies on the definition of threshold levels of parameter for several groups of patients with clinically confirmed diagnoses of diseases of a thyroid are carried out.
