ABSTRACT
An observation of the systemic haemangiomatosis with the involvement of the small bowel and brain in a 59-year-old man who died from the edema and dislocation of brain is described. The peculiar feature of this observation lies in both rarity of this lesion and its combination with benign and malignant tumours of internal organs.

A case of leiomyosarcoma of the gallbladder is described in a 73-year-old female. The patient died from peritonitis due to tumor perforation. Despite a large size and weight (1500 g) of the tumor, metastases were not found at autopsy.

On the basis of clinicomorphological study of 4 observations the authors outline a specific form of granulomatous encephalitis known from the literature as "reticulohistiocytic granulomatous encephalitis". The disease occurs at any age. Its course may be chronic or subacute, less frequently--acute. The process may localize anywhere, with predominant occurrence of the lesion in the periventricular region of the third ventricle. The morphological feature of this encephalitic form is a formation of large foci and microgranulomas from lymphocytes, histiocytes, macrophages, epithelioid cells and microgliacytes. The variants of granulomatous encephalitis distinguished by the ratio of the above-mentioned cellular elements should be considered as an etiologically heterogenic group of inflammatory brain diseases, that are likely to develop due to delayed hypersensitivity.

A case of recurring epithelioid sarcoma located in the subcutis of the palmar surface of the main phalanx of the second finger in a woman of 40 is presented. Metastasis of the inner organs 2 years after the amputation of the hand is not evident.

A case of the nodular diffuse gangliocytoma of the cerebellum right hemisphere in a female of 34 is described. The authors consider their case as a peculiar variant of the Lermitt-Duclo disease. The death occurred suddenly from the disturbances of liquor and blood circulation in the presence of an asymptomatic course of disease.

This paper is the first publication of malignant giant cell tumors (MGCT) of the uterus in the Soviet literature. From the analysis of 2 own observations and 2 cases reported in the literature the authors describe the typical macroscopical appearance and histological picture of MGCT of the uterus similar to those of analogous tumors of soft tissues and some organs. The clinical behavior of these tumors depends not so much on histological variant as on the pattern of their growth and degree of differentiation of the tumor tissue. Despite ultrastructural features suggesting their fibrohistiocytic origin of MGCT, their true histogenesis remains obscure.
