ABSTRACT
Insertion of self-expanding metallic stent for palliative treatment of colorectal neoplastic stenosis is not a widespread method. We report two cases in whom the endoscopic stent insertion was successfully performed without incident. Migration of the stent and rectal bleeding in one patient were observed within a follow-up of 7 and 10 months that was ended by colostomy in both patients. These two cases confirm that this endoscopic technique can be proposed as an alternative to usual palliative treatment by phototherapy laser.
