ABSTRACT

The deposits of therapeutic peloids in the Belokurikhinskaya spa and resort area are estimated at 120,000 cub.m. Bottom sediments in freshwater lakes of the region in the form of sapropels and low-mineralized peloids can be used for the "sparing" treatment of debilitated patients presenting with a variety of diseases associated with an impaired functional potential. It is emphasized that the development and application of the local sapropel and low-sulphide silt deposits for therapeutic purposes would be instrumental in the further extension of the remedial basis of the Belokurikhinskaya health resort.

ABSTRACT

Hydrological and hydrochemical features of the sources of radon- and nitrogen-containing thermal waters of the Altai region are considered. Data on the chemical composition of mineral waters from different sources are presented. Methods for the use of radon- and nitrogen-containing thermal waters from their natural sources of the Altai region for the purpose of sanatorium and spa treatment are described.

ABSTRACT

Capacitive electrodes produce low-frequency distortions of signals in the course of electrophysiologic measurements. One of the possible ways to compensate low-frequency noise consists in connecting a compensating RC-circuit across an amplifier output. As a result, a recovery time is reduced under interference as compared to an amplifier having similar frequency response yet in the absence of the compensating circuit provided amplifier signals are limited. Presented in the paper relationships demonstrate applicable limits of the given compensating method. The results may be used in designing ultralow-frequency amplifiers with the isolating RC-circuit in the input.
