ABSTRACT

PIP: 2 years ago, a number of Chilean and foreign men came together with the common desire to honestly share their feelings with other men. The men were dissatisfied with many professional and personal aspects of their lives, and wanted to know themselves, and their women, better, with the goal of leading more fulfilling lives and becoming more complete, less isolated men. To that end, these men created a forum in which they can find mutual support through the sharing of their experiences. The group has been meeting monthly for 2 years, effectively creating a new masculine identity. The men look forward to enjoying the positive aspects of their male identity. To develop as more integrated men, men must learn how to be more intimate with each other and their partners. That change in behavior and perception must then be applied to broader social issues and problems beyond the individual and family level.^ieng
