ABSTRACT
A case of esophageal Papilloma is reported. The viral condyloma was diagnosed by standard histological methods and confirmed by immuno-fluorescence and immuno-peroxidase technics against genus specific Papilloma virus antigens (i. e. capsid specific proteic antigen). These antigens were localized in the nuclei of koilocytic cells. These results confirm the association between proliferative lesions appearing on the mucosal epithelium and Papilloma viruses, which are suspected to be oncogenic in other malpighian tissues.

A comparison was made between the gastroduodenal lesions observed by fibroscopy in a group of 47 patients treated with anti-inflammatory drugs for rheumatic conditions and a group of 50 controls. All patients had clinical symptoms of the stomach or duodenum. A statistical study show that the two groups were similar as regards age, sex and clinical signs. Besides ulcers the gastroduodenal lesions were acute and/or chronic. Among acute gastritis forms distinction is made between superficial, muco-erosive and haemorrhagic gastritis. The study showed the very high frequency of lesions of acute gastritis in rheumatic patients, especially of the antral and muco-erosive types, whereas the incidence of gastroduodenal ulcers was no higher than in the controles. An important finding is that acute gastritis is not favoured by pre-existing chronic gastritis.

The authors propose an easy radiological classification of the various lower esophageal rings. They distinguish between the ring which are linked with a disorders at the gastroesophageal junction such as Schatzki's mucous rings and the peptic rings and those which are not such a congenital and muscular rings. The first category is the most frequent.

The authors report a case of diffuse gastric polyposis predominating in the antrum. They emphasize the interest of double contrast radiological examination of the mucosa and fiberendoscopy with biopsy, in the diagnosis.
