The specifity of the treatment of functional sexual disturbances has led to a conceptional and methodical enlargement of the behaviour-therapeutic approach in form of an intergrative sexual therapy, which includes constituents of other therapy concepts and methods (communication therapy, conversational psychotherapy, formation therapy). Partial aims and techniques of the sexual therapy related to these are cited and the special difficulties of the sexual therapy for the therapeutist are indicated. The own approach is described in 5 steps (problem analysis, analysis of causes, plan of therapy, cognitive therapy, realisation of the programme), in which case as a rule a consultation phase precedes the therapeutic phase. The cognitive therapy is regarded as the centre of the sexual therapy; from this result several modification concerning the standardized sexual-therapeutic programmes.

Reported in this paper is the use of a carbon-lipoidal suspension for presurgical staining lymphography which was applied to carcinomata colli uteri and corporis uteri. The suspension could not be prepared until permission had been obtained from the National Drug Expert Committee. Better colour contrast representation of the femoral and iliacal lymph nodes during the operation was thus achieved, and, consequently, surgical radicality was substantively improved. The approach proved less expensive and tedious than previous methods used for colour representation of lymph nodes in the minor pelvis. The dye used did not cause any complications. The advantages of the method are discussed. General application seems to be commendable, following further testing.

The normal transport velocity of the isolated ciliated epithelium of the frog oesophagus was proved to be 228 +/- 15 micron . s-1. Bromhexin increased this transport rate 1.34 fold and KNEIPP-Hustentee 1.38 fold. The components of the cough tea had different effects on the mucociliar activity. The following ingredients increased the transport rate with falling rank order: Folia farfarae (coltsfoot), fructus foeniculi (fennel), and fructus anisi (anise). Herba plantaginis (plantain), flores verbasci (torch weed), and radix liquiritiae (liquorice) were ineffective whereas semen foenigraeci (foenugrec), radix althaeae (marsh mallow), and herba thymi (mother of thyme) had an inhibiting effect in raising rank order. The latter two groups of ingredients are constituents of the tea because of their attributed additional effects, e.g. protective effects due to mucous layers in the hypopharynx and spasmolytic, secretolytic and bactericide effects.

A chromatographic analysis of the hay charge used for balneological and thermotherapy which contains coumarin, the hydroxycoumarins umbelliferone and esculin and also the furanocoumarin imperatorin. The sedative effect of the hay can be explained by the coumarin and the imperatorin; the absorption site is to be found in the respiratory tract.
