ABSTRACT

A pilot controlled study included 266 cancer patients (stage IV) with chronic pain syndrome. Laser treatment significantly increased (18%) the effect of pain-relieving drug therapy. Due to application of this visual-analog laser procedure (WHO) carried out in three-stages, untoward side-effects fell 3-fold and were less marked. Life quality indices increased by 27.5-55.0%.
