ABSTRACT

The use of Keramail (Keradenta/Wilde GmbH Radeberg) for fusing silicatic layers to metallic frameworks in a preheating furnace and the later on silianizing in order to bond teeth coloured veneering materials has proved laboratory and chemically. On the base of shearing tests with selected precious and non precious alloys the good bonding strength of this bonding system in comparison with the Silicoater-system is shown.

ABSTRACT

The shown method of testing the shearing strength of metal ceramic bonding systems has proved in connection with the development of metal ceramic materials and their handling as an efficient technique, which leads to reproducible results with a small dispersion. In divergence from the method of Schmitz and Schulmeyer we use material layers in a bigness, which allow usual laboratory manufacturing techniques and above it the bonding strength of single cera layers can be estimated.

ABSTRACT

In an experimental study could be shown, that in corrosion investigations by help of the anodic polarization the sensity of the measurement of amperage is important. Testing alloy-systems like Remanium CS, which show passivation on a higher resting potential, mistakes in valuation of the corrosion behaviour by registration in a range of 10-50 muA/cm are possible.

ABSTRACT

The results are presented of experimental studies of casting contraction of metal crowns and bridges with an attempt at outlining of practical suggestions concerning the choice of materials and work technology with alloys based on nickel. Casting contraction was determined for the following alloys: Gisadent MCA, Gisadent NCS1, Mikrostom-1 and Wiron-88. The need for further studies on alloys based on nickel which may be used for preparation of permanent replacements as substitutes of precious metals is caused in Poland and all over the world by economic factors.

ABSTRACT

The method of bacterial leaching of non precious dental alloys represents a useful completion of the method arsenal of biological investigations. In contrast to other well known methods it allows to point out small differences in corrosion resistance between alloys of the same type in a biologic system.

ABSTRACT

Dental final and auxiliary materials have to be biocompatible. Before using sumptuous biological testing methods corrosions studies allow to check up this property. Our investigations have been carried out by anodic polarization measurements. We tested traditional and further developed Ni/Cr-based alloys in independence to pH-value and composition of the electrolyte. The result is that the new with the help of an extensive experimental program developed Ni/Cr-based alloy Gisadent NCS 1 (Institute of Non-Precious Metals, Freiberg, GDR) shows a good corrosion resistance in comparison with other commercial products.

ABSTRACT

On the base of experimental dilatometric investigations the thermal expansion behaviour of the Ni-Cri-based alloys Gisadent NCA, Gisadent NCS 1, Mikrostom-1, Wiron 77 and Wiron 88 was tested and the expansion coeffizient and the solid shrinkage determinated. The results are discussed referable to the compatibility metal/ceramic and in connection with the accuracy of fit of cast dental appliances.
