ABSTRACT
The known compounds stansioside and orobanchoside as well as a new acyclic monoterpene glucoside, 1,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyloct-2( E)-ene-1- O-beta- D-glucopyranoside have been isolated from leaves of PENSTEMON DIGITALIS. Their structures have been elucidated by NMR and FD mass spectroscopy.

A new iridoid glycoside, 2'- O-(8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2( E),6( E)-octadienoyl)-dihydropenstemide, has been isolated from PENSTEMON CONFERTUS Dougl. Its structure was elucidated by FD-mass, (1)H-NMR, and (13)C-NMR spectroscopy.

From the leaves of PENSTEMON RICHARDSONII Dougl., four valeriana-type ester iridoids have been isolated and structurally elucidated as serrulatoloside, 10-deoxypatrinoside, serrulatoloside-aglycone, and 10-deoxypatrinoside-aglycone.
