ABSTRACT

An efficient method for the treatment of drug allergy was proposed and practically implemented. The method consists in autologous venous blood being lyzed with sterile bidistilled water at a ratio of 5:1 and injected subcutaneously and partially intradermally into the reflexogenic zones of the back 2-3 cm from the spinal column. During the first week of treatment, increasing doses were injected (3 to 10 ml), whereas during the second week the doses decreased from 10 to 3 ml. Following treatment the patients felt better and featured enhanced working ability as well as markedly declined susceptibility to common colds. The most informative immunological indicators were chosen to evaluate the efficiency of therapy.

ABSTRACT

The analysis of the immune status of patients under neurodermatitis after autologous blood treatment has been performed. It has been found that positive therapeutic effect correlates with a number of immunologic parameters: the lysozyme content raises, the metabolic activity of neutrophilic cells increases, a number of T-lymphocytes grows to a certain degree, the balance of T-lymphocyte subpopulation normalizes.

ABSTRACT

The character of cell reactions, number of macrophages at the place of skin allograft was demonstrated to depend on the stage of posttransplantational period. Macrophagal reaction increases as the crisis of rejection is approaching; functional and metabolic activity of macrophages is increasing that is evident from an intensive vacuolization of cytoplasm, decreased contents of glycogene, enhanced acid phosphatase activity in them, increased amount of H3-thymidin labelled cells.

ABSTRACT

Electrophoretic mobility (EPM) of lymphocytes from the thymus and spleen of August and Wistar rats as well as capacity of lymphocytes with different surface hemagglutinin (PHA) and concanavalin A (Con A) were studied by the method of free flow electrophoresis. Lymphocytes of the rat spleen were shown, depending on the surface charge, to divide into two groups during cultivation: cells with high and low electrophoretic mobility. At separation the lymphocytes consisted of 8--10 fractions with different EPM. There was a relationship between the surface charge of the lymphocytes and their stimulation rate by mitogens. Increased thymidine-3H uptake was recorded at mitogenic exposure of lymphocytes from the spleen with high EPM. Low mobile lymphoid elements of the spleen did not respond to mitogenic stimulation. A subpopulation of thymocytes with low EPM was resistant to Con A stimulation. The thymocytes of rats did not virtually respond to PHA irrespective of EPM.

ABSTRACT

The lateral diffusion of integral glycoproteins of lymphocyte plasma membranes is not described only in terms of Brown movement. The development of immune process to the thymus-dependent antigene in vivo induces changes in physico-chemical state of ConA and immunoglobulin receptors of the surface of immuno-competent cells revealed when studying cap formation in vitro.

ABSTRACT

A study of the changes in dehydrogenase level in lymphocytes after injection of different antigens--bovine serum albumin (BSA) and sheep red blood cells (SRBC) was made. The activity of succinate and alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenases altered during the first days after the antigens administration, but before the appearance of antibodies in the peripheral circulation. These changes were specific of BSA and SRBC, respectively.

ABSTRACT

It was found that injection of heterological erythrocytes caused as soon as in 15 minutes displacement of noradrenaline from the efferent nerve endings and an essential re-building of metabolism of the central follicular cells and monoamine containing cells of the spleen marginal sinus, cortical fluorescent cells and mast cells of the thymus. Inversion of the medullary substance was revealed in the thymus.
