[Possibility of using the etiological factor and the function of the immune system in assessing the pathogenetic treatment of chronic suppurative sinusitis]. / Vozmozhnost' ispol'zovaniia étiologicheskogo faktora i sostoiianiia immunnoi sistemy v otsenke patogeneticheskogo lecheniia khronicheskogo gnoinogo sinuita.

The etiologic profile and state of the immune system of the patients with different forms of sinusitis treated at the Moscow Research Institute of the Ear, Throat and Nose in 1983-1985 were studied. The treatment of the patients with a combination of penicillin and dimexide was shown to be efficient. Differences between the humoral factors of the nonspecific defence and between the indices of the cell reactivity of the patients before and after the treatment were revealed.
