[Use of rod compression-distraction device in multiple fractures and associated lesions]. / Primenenie sterzhnevykh kompressionno-distraktsionnykh apparatov (SKID) pri mnozhestvennykh perelomakh i sochetannykh povrezhdeniiakh.

The authors have analysed the application of external rod fixatives in treatment of 47 victims with multiple fractures and associated damages of the locomotor system. They indicate the expediency of application of these fixative in case of rendering of the urgent medical aid because the execution of urgent stable osteosynthesis reduces the number of complications and contributes to getting of good anatomical and functional results of treatment.
