ABSTRACT
Key clinical massage: Pseudoaneurysms and aneurysms of the visceral arteries are rare entities. To the best of our knowledge, rupture of a proximal parental artery during endovascular treatment of a visceral aneurism/pseudoaneurysm has not been reported and should be kept in mind as a tragic possibility immediately following an apparently successful management of them. Abstract: A 55-year-old woman with a history of coronary artery disease was referred to our hospital with abdominal pain as her primary complaint. Early works revealed anemia, a small amount of free peritoneal fluid, and a possible large aneurysm or pseudoaneurysm by the greater curvature of the stomach. She underwent emergency angiography that showed a large aneurism/pseudoaneurysm of the gastroepiploic artery. Successful embolization of the lesion was performed using the isolation technique. Perforation of a side branch of the gastroduodenal artery was observed on the immediate postembolization control angiography. Therefore, parent artery coiling was done immediately with good results. She was symptom-free and stable hemodynamically after the procedure, during the hospital course, and in the follow-ups.
ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Suicide is a significant public health problem and one of the leading causes of death worldwide. The effect of religion on suicidal behaviors (i.e., ideation, plan, attempt, and death) is an important issue worthy of consideration. METHODS: Major electronic databases, including MEDLINE, Web of Science, and Scopus, were searched for the articles published until 26 April 2021. Reference lists were also screened. Observational studies addressing the associations between religion and suicidal behaviors were also examined. Between-study heterogeneity was investigated using the χ2, τ2, and I2 statistics. The probability of publication bias was explored using the Begg and Egger tests, as well as trim-and-fill analysis. The effect size was expressed as odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) using a random-effects model. RESULTS: Out of 11â 389 identified studies, 63 articles were eligible, involving 8,053,697 participants. There was an inverse association between religion and suicidal ideation ORâ â =â â 0.83 (95% CI: 0.78, 0.88; P <â 0.001), suicidal plan ORâ â =â â 0.93 (95% CI: 0.83, 1.04; P =â â 0.200), suicide attempt ORâ â =â â 0.84 (95% CI: 0.79, 0.89; P <â 0.001), and completed suicide ORâ â =â â 0.31 (95% CI: 0.14, 0.72; P =â â 0.006). There was a no evidence of publication bias. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this meta-analysis support the notion that religion can play a protective role against suicidal behaviors. Nonetheless, the effect of religion on suicidal behaviors varies across countries with different religions and cultures. Although this association does not necessarily imply causation, an awareness of the relationship between religion and suicide risk can be of great help in suicide prevention policies and programs.

N-Butyl cyanoacrylate embolization of peripheral pulmonary artery aneurysms has rarely been performed. This report presents a young woman with a history of patent ductus arteriosus and massive hemoptysis secondary to pulmonary artery aneurysm, successfully managed by embolotherapy using n-Butyl cyanoacrylate. This is the first report of n-Butyl cyanoacrylate embolization treatment of a bleeding pulmonary artery aneurysm in the setting of patent ductus arteriosus. The pertinent literature has been reviewed and the clinical background and the procedure have been explained.

Persistent fifth - double-lumen - aortic arch is a rarely seen entity, which is usually associated with other cardiac anomalies; it has been previously reported only in children. We report a new case of double-lumen aortic arch with a systemic-to-systemic connection diagnosed incidentally during cardiac multi-detector computer tomography evaluation of coronary artery bypass grafts in an adult.

Subcutaneous cervicofacial emphysema is a rare condition that results from various causes. Initially it might be misdiagnosed and managed as other clinical entities, such as angioedema. We report a case of self-induced subcutaneous facial emphysema in a prisoner who sought better living conditions by simulating an emergency.

Anomalous unilateral single pulmonary vein is an extremely rare anomaly of the pulmonary venous system. It is often confused with other pulmonary abnormalities such as hypogenetic lung (scimitar) syndrome, pulmonary varices, pulmonary nodules, and arteriovenous malformations. We present imaging findings including multidetector computerized tomography in a case of anomalous unilateral single pulmonary vein mimicking pulmonary nodules on high-resolution computed tomography of the lungs and scimitar syndrome on chest radiograph in an asthmatic girl.
