ABSTRACT

The materials reported in the present article illustrate the possibility of weather forecasting for the medical purposes in the historical aspect. The main characteristics of the relevant organizational and methodological approaches to meteoprophylaxis based of the standard medical forecasts are presented. The emphasis is laid on the priority of the domestic medical school in the development of the principles of diagnostics and treatment of meteosensitivity and meteotropic complications in the patients presenting with various diseases with special reference to their age-related characteristics.

ABSTRACT

The article reviews the modern aspects of the prevention of diseases of the digestive system in children. It analyzes the levels of prevention activities, starting with the first days of a child's life. Great value is given to healthy ways of parents' lives, in the future - of the children: monitoring the course of pregnancy, genetic counseling and prenatal diagnostics of the pathology of the fetus. Heredity plays an important role in the cause-significant factors of diseases of the digestive system, violations of the calendar of vaccination, etc. One of the bases of prevention is a staged treatment of diseases of the digestive system, the identification of risk factors that can cause an aggravation or a continuously-recurrent course. The selection of rehabilitation programmes and hospital replacement technologies to improve and maintain the quality of life of sick children were substantiated.

ABSTRACT

Current views on mechanisms responsible for sensitivity of the body to weather conditions are presented. Two types of meteorological reactions are recognized: to weather as a whole and to separate meteorological factors. Clinico-meteorological follow-up of 356 patients and healthy subjects aged 7-25 years provided grounds for dividing meteorological reactions into kerosotropic and meteorotropic. Basic concepts of medical kerosology, including medical kerosoprognosis and prevention of kerosotropic reactions are outlined.
