ABSTRACT

The role of standardization of medical devices within the system of health care of the Russian Federation was analyzed in the article. The results of activities of technical committees for standardization as well as the list of the mentioned devices compatible with the international standards are presented. Lists of attested and etalon application means and equipment designed for examinations of different types are equally described.

ABSTRACT

Some issues of harmonization of the Russian standards for medical articles with the international standards, including the European Engineering Legislation are considered. Under the present conditions, the rules and procedures of certification of medical articles are associated with the consumer quality controlling system. A list of new Russian standards in the above area is given.

ABSTRACT

Extrahospital monitoring of the body's status is an effective method for health promotion of man and the general population. The paper presents medical engineering rationale for the software of health monitoring under different conditions, identifies three base-line configurations of these complexes: for use in health institutions: for that in the institutions lacking permanent medical staff; for individual and familial use.

ABSTRACT

The paper presents an algorithm of partial and complete morphological analysis of cardiac signals in real time. Linear selective transformation is the key procedure that precedes and creates prerequisites for morphological analysis of cardiac signals in real time.

ABSTRACT

Recently, there have been great changes in the nomenclature of manufactured medical equipment (ME) items and hence there is a considerable renewal of products due to the fact that a lot of conversed enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) have settled down in producing ME. By and large, the output of new ME items is 37% of their total medical instrument making nomenclature. Thus, in 1988 the proportion of the items was 35% of the total output of medical devices and apparatuses while in 1995 it is 65%. The output and technical level of some extremely complex ME items, Russian devices for hemodialysis and extracorporeal circulation have been increased. The Russian enterprises have designed and are manufacturing diagnostic nuclear magnetic systems, pulse oximeters, Billitest bilirubin meters, complex laboratory sets for radioimmunochemical assay, a G202-5 lit-par-lit scanning complex, Mammodiagnost apparatus, new Roentgen-48 and Roentgen-60 X-ray complexes, etc. The paper gives specific examples how a number of medical devices and apparatuses are designed and launched into production at the electronic and radio industrial and MIC enterprises.

ABSTRACT

Some ways to improve informative capacity of ultrasonic diagnostic examinations are discussed, and their application in an extended network of outpatient clinics by using the state-of-the-art automated devices, microcomputers and microprocessors in particular, are considered. Possible approaches to automating ultrasonic diagnostic examinations are analysed, and requirements for hardware and software of ultrasonic complexes are specified. A configuration structure of complexes for processing monodimensional and bidimensional echo signals is presented.

ABSTRACT

Now, the creation of automated instruments, apparatus and systems providing complex instrumentation of medical technological processes in ambulant-polyclinical and hospital centers became the main line of the medical technique's development. Primary problems and objects of automation are determined from the proposed models of managing the treatment and diagnostic processes in these establishments.

ABSTRACT

An optimal modification of the patients flow arrangement is offered for more convenient form and methods of the population screening for malignant tumours and precancerous diseases, aided by medical and computer techniques. A scheme of the mass-screening system and principal aspects of technical provision particularly for oncological screening are presented.

ABSTRACT

In conducting electrophysiological and medical investigations, in registration of bioelectric processes in particular, various types of converters permitting notation of bioelectric signals can be used with an ordinary tape recorder instead of costly magnetic registrators. A frequency converter with whose help it is possible to register bioelectric processes in a frequency range of 0.1 to 10(3) Hz with a conversion error of not more than 1.5 per cent is proposed.
