ABSTRACT

This study proposes a new method for the immediate fault warning and fault root tracing of CNC lathes. Here, the information acquisition scheme was formulated based on the analysis of the coupling relationship between the mechanical parts of CNC lathes. Once the collected status signals were de-noised and coarse-grained, transfer entropy theory was introduced to calculate the net entropy of information transfer between the mechanical parts, after which the information transfer model was constructed. The sliding window method was used to determine the probability threshold interval of the net information transfer entropy between the lathe mechanical parts under different processing modes. Therefore, the transition critical point was determined according to the information entropy, and the fault development process was clarified. By analyzing the information transfer changes between the parts, fault early warning and fault root tracking on the CNC lathe were realized. The proposed method realizes the digitalization and intelligentization of fault diagnosis and has the advantages of timely and efficient diagnosis. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a numerical control lathe tool processing experiment.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: : Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging and rapidly evolving disease, with no recommended effective anti-coronavirus treatments. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been widely used to treat COVID-19 in China, and the most used one is Lianhuaqingwen (LH). This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of LH combined with usual treatment vs usual treatment alone in treating mild or moderate COVID-19 by a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). METHODS AND ANALYSIS: : We systematically searched the Medline (OVID), Embase, the Cochrane Library, and 4 Chinese databases from inception to July 2020 to include the RCTs that evaluated the efficacy and safety of LH in combination with usual treatment vs usual treatment for mild or moderate COVID-19. A meta-analysis was performed to calculate the risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for binary outcomes and mean difference (MD) for continuous outcomes. RESULTS: : A total of 5 RCTs with 824 individuals with mild or moderate COVID 19 were included. Compared with the usual treatment alone, LH in combination with usual treatment significantly improved the overall clinical efficacy (RR = 2.39, 95% CI 1.61-3.55), increased the rate of recovery of chest computed tomographic manifestations (RR = 1.80, 95% CI 1.08-3.01), reduced the rate of conversion to severe cases (RR = 0.47, 95% CI 0.29-0.74), shorten the duration of fever (MD = -1.00, 95% CI -1.17 to -0.84). Moreover, LH in combination with usual treatment did not increase the occurrence of the adverse event compared to usual treatment alone. CONCLUSION: : Our meta-analysis of RCTs indicated that LH in combination with usual treatment may improve the clinical efficacy in patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 without increasing adverse events. However, given the limitations and poor quality of included trials in this study, further large-sample RCTs or high-quality real-world studies are needed to confirm our conclusions.

ABSTRACT

The thermal conductivity (κ) of nonmetals is determined by the constituent atoms, the crystal structure and interatomic potentials. Although the group-IV elemental solids Si, Ge and diamond have been studied extensively, a detailed understanding of the connection between the fundamental features of their energy landscapes and their thermal transport properties is still lacking. Here, starting from first principles, we analyze those factors, including the atomic mass (m) and the second- (harmonic) and third-order (anharmonic) interatomic force constants (IFCs). Both the second- and third-order IFCs of Si and Ge are very similar, and thus Si and Ge represent ideal systems to understand how the atomic mass alone affectsκ. Although the group velocity (v) decreases with increasing atomic mass (v-1∝m), the phonon lifetime (τ) follows the opposite trend (τ∝m). Since the contribution toκfrom each phonon mode is approximately proportionalv2τ,κis lower for the heavier element, namely Ge. Although the extremely high thermal conductivity of diamond is often attributed to weak anharmonic scattering, the anharmonic component of the interatomic potential is not much weaker than those of Si and Ge, which seems to be overlooked in the literature. In fact, the absolute magnitude of the third-order IFCs is much larger in diamond, and the ratios of the third-order IFCs with respect to the second-order ones are comparable to those of Si and Ge. We also explain the experimentally measuredκof high-quality diamonds (Inyushikinet al2018Phys. Rev. B97144305) by introducing boundary scattering into the picture, and obtain good agreement between calculations and measurements.

ABSTRACT

Bavachin (BV), a natural flavonoid compound derived from Psoralea corylifolia L, has been reported to be a potential hepatotoxin. Our previous studies have found that BV can induce endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-related cell apoptosis, but the molecular mechanism underlying BV-induced ER stress remains obscure. Sestrin2, a highly conserved stress-inducible protein, is involved in the cellular responses of various stress conditions and homeostatic regulation. However, whether Sestrin2 participated in the ER stress related hepatotoxicity against BV is still elusive. In the present study, we aim to investigate the role of BV on liver injury of mice and the impact of Sestrin2 on BV-induced ER stress in HepG2 cells. The results in mice showed that BV induced ER stress related liver injury with increased Sestrin2 expression involvement. Knockdown of Sestrin2 with siRNA aggravated BV-induced ER stress significantly in HepG2 cells. Further mechanistic study uncovered that inhibition of mTORC1 with rapamycin blocked BV-induced ER stress, and treatment with Sestrin2 siRNA blocked the inhibition effect of AMPK to mTORC1. Therefore, constant mTORC1 would lead to accumulation of misfolded or unfolded proteins and aggravated ER stress. Collectively, our study indicates that Sestrin2 confers protection against BV-induced ER stress via activating of the AMPK/mTORC1 pathway.

BACKGROUND: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging and rapidly evolving disease, with no recommended effective anti-coronavirus drug treatment. Traditional Chinese Patent Medicines (CPMs) have, however, been widely used to treat COVID-19 in China, and a number of clinical practice results have shown them to have a significant role in its treatment. Consequently, numerous guidelines and expert consensus have recommended the use of CPMs to treat COVID-19. AIM OF THE STUDY: The objectives of this review are to provide up-to-date information on the pharmacology and clinical research on CPMs in the treatment of COVID-19, discuss the research findings, and to better guide clinical application and scientific research on CPMs in the treatment of COVID-19. METHODS: The frequencies of CPM recommendations by guidelines and expert consensus for treatment of COVID-19 in China were ranked. This report identifies the top 10 CPMs, which include Huoxiang Zhengqi capsule (HXZQC), Lianhua Qingwen capsule (LHQWC), Jinhua Qinggan granule (JHQGG), Shufeng Jiedu capsule (SFJDC), Tanreqing injection (TRQI), Xiyanping injection (XYPI), Xuebijing injection (XBJI), Shenfu injection (SFI), Shengmai injection (SMI), and Angong Niuhuang pill (AGNHP). Relevant studies from 2000 to 2020 on these top 10 CPMs, covering usage, dosage, mechanism, curative effect, and precautions, were collected from pharmacopoeia, reports, and theses via library and digital databases (including PubMed, CNKI, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Elsevier). RESULTS: The properties of the top 10 CPMs included antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic, anti-acute lung injury, anti-shock, immune regulation, and enhancement of pulmonary function. In addition, clinical research results and Chinese treatment data showed that the CPMs had good therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of COVID-19, and adverse reactions were minimal. CONCLUSIONS: Knowledge of the characteristics of the top 10 CPMs and precautions that should be taken may help clinicians to rationally improve therapeutic efficacy, and promote the role of Chinese Medicine in the control of the COVID-19 global epidemic.

ABSTRACT

With the growth of number of Chinese patent medicines and clinical use, the rational use of Chinese medicine is becoming more and more serious. Due to the complexity of Chinese medicine theory and the uncertainty of clinical application, the prescription review of Chinese patent medicine always relied on experience in their respective, leading to the uncontrolled of clinical rational use. According to the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory and characteristics of the unique clinical therapeutics, based on the practice experience and expertise comments, our paper formed the expert consensus on the prescription review of Chinese traditional patent medicine for promoting the rational use of drugs in Beijing. The objective, methods and key points of prescription review of Chinese patent medicine, were included in this expert consensus, in order to regulate the behavior of prescription and promote rational drug use.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to develop the data element standard directory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinical pharmacy information, to provide application standards and models of TCM clinical pharmacy for the electronic medical record (EMR). The developed line of work is as follows: initially establish research through four forms: literature analysis, questionnaires, discussion groups, expert advice. The research range from the Chinese herbal medicine research, herbal origin, harvesting, processing, identification of traits, physical and chemical identification, modern research, character, taste, Indications, clinical application, processing, dispensing medicine, Chinese medicine specifications, usage, dosage, caution, efficacy indications to small packaging applications, drug research, management and other related issues, including traditional Chinese medicine theory, application and hospital management information; according to the general and part 16 content of the national "Health Information Data Element Standards", and the basic method of extracting data element to study and develop the data element of TCM clinical pharmacy information from the defining content. Correspondingly propose the ideas and methods of construction of the "Data Element Standard Directory of TCM Clinical Pharmacy Information", sort out medicine clinical information data element standard catalog, divided into basic categories, clinical application class, management class three parts, and set norms and standards of identifying data elements, definitions, allowable value of traditional Chinese medicine clinical information, and discuss the sources and standards of information collection, leaving the interface, standardized and scientific terminology, docking with the existing standards, maintenance and management program and oter issues.
