Climate and visitors as the influencing factors of dengue fever in Badung District of Bali, Indonesia.

Badung district has recorded the highest dengue fever (DF) in Bali Province. This research presents the distribution of DF in Badung district and analyses its association with climate and visitors. The monthly data of DF, climate and number of visitors during January 2013 to December 2017 were analysed using Poisson Regression. A total of 10,689 new DF cases were notified from January 2013 to December 2017. DF in 2016 was recorded as the heaviest incidence. Monthly DF cases have positive association with average temperature (0.59 (95% CI: 0.56-.62)), precipitation (5.7 x 10-4 (95% CI: 3.8 x 10-4 - 7.6 x 10-4)), humidity (.014 (95% CI: 0.003-.025)) and local visitors (7.40 x 10-6 95% CI: 5.88 x 10-6 : 8.91 x 10-6). Negative association was shown between DF cases with foreign visitors (-2.18 x 10-6 (95% CI: -2.50 x 10-6 : -1.87 x 10-6)). This study underlines the urgency to integrate climate and tourism for DF surveillance.

The influence of knowledge and perceptions of doctors on the quality of medical records.

BACKGROUND: Medical record reflects the quality of health services provided, which is influenced by existing resources, such as the doctors in charge. This study aims to determine whether doctors' knowledge and perceptions affect the quality of the medical record. DESIGN AND METHODS: This is a quantitative and cross-sectional study carried out at Dr. Soetomo's general and academic hospital Surabaya, Indonesia, in September and October 2020. Data were purposively obtained from a total of 45 doctors working at the hospital's inpatient service surgery ward using the questionnaire and checklist medical record quality. Furthermore, ethical clearance and doctors' informed consent were obtained, with the data statistically processed and analyzed by multiple linear regressions. RESULTS: The results and conclusion showed that doctors' knowledge and perceptions of the quality of medical records were influence to medical record quality (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Hospital management needs to regularly increase doctors' knowledge and perceptions by socializing and monitoring medical records.

Psychometric of the Curiosity and Exploration Inventory-II in Indonesia.

Background: Curiosity is a personality characteristic, which fits with wellbeing and positive functioning. The objective of this study was to assess the construct validity of the Curiosity and Exploration Inventory II (CEI-II) in Indonesia. Design and Methods: The study included 256 undergraduate students who lived in Indonesia, mean age 19.8 years old. The CEI-II measures stretching and embracing using 11 items. The English version of CEI-II was translated into Bahasa. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) were addressed to examine internal consistency reliability and the test-retest reliability. To evaluate construct validity, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used to assess factor structure and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to evaluate the structural model fit of the CEI-II Indonesia version. Results: The study showed Cronbach's alpha for the internal consistency of the overall CEI-II Indonesia version was 0.77. The ICC for the test-retest reliability ranged between 0.753-0.829. EFA showed adequate with the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value of 0.86 and the Bartlett's test of sphericity was statistically significant. CFA tested the second-order model with two-order factors and showed a model fit. Conclusions: The CEI-II Indonesia version indicated acceptable construct validity to evaluate curiosity in Indonesia.

Psychometric properties of sleep hygiene index in Indonesian adolescents.

Background: Sleep is associated with some behavioral factors such as maladaptive, which tend to disrupt its normal mechanism, therefore, a tool is needed to measure maladaptive sleep hygiene. This study aims to assess the psychometric properties of sleep hygiene index (SHI), translation, factor structure, validity, and reliability. Design and Methods: Data were collected from 101 Indonesia adolescents in junior high school, with SHI-Indonesia translated based on WHO guideline. The obtained data were analyzed using varimax rotation, while the convergent validity was evaluated by calculating the correlation between the item and total score. In addition, the Cronbach's alpha was computed to investigate internal consistency, and two-week interval test-retest was conducted to assess reliability. Results: SHI is a unidimensional factor structure with an excellent test-retest reliability of P<0.001 at 0.618, and a positive convergent validity correlation between each item and the total score. Conclusions: The SHI Bahasa translation is a reliable and valid tool to assess maladaptive sleep hygiene among Indonesia Adolescents.

Factors affecting emergency nurses' perceptions of the triage systems.

Background: Emergency services use a triage system to prioritize patients according to their level of diagnosis. Triage is one of the mandated skills to be owned by an emergency unit nurse. This research aims to identify factors affecting emergency nurses' perceptions of the triage systems. Design and Methods: 90 nurses were chosen based on quota sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test (α 0.05) and logistic regression analysis. Results: The results show that nurses perceptions were influenced by knowledge (p = 0.017), working experience (p = 0.023), and training (p = 0.041). The factor that had the strongest influence in the formation of nurses' perceptions was knowledge (p = 0.020 and OR = 3.19). Conclusions: It can be concluded that knowledge, working experience and training influenced emergency nurses' perceptions on triage systems.
