ABSTRACT
Se realizó un estudio observacional, longitudinal, descriptivo, retrospectivo, con el objetivo de determinar la presencia de los síntomas previos al IMA y la frecuencia según la edad y el sexo, en 29 pacientes que sobrevivieron al Infarto Agudo del Miocardio atendidos en la sala de Terapia Intensiva del Policlínico Docente Emilia de Córdoba del Municipio San Nicolás, Provincia La Habana en el período comprendido desde el 1o de enero del 2005 al 31 de diciembre del 2006. El 62 por ciento de los pacientes presentaron síntomas previos. Las palpitaciones y el malestar general con 18,7 por ciento respectivamente fueron los mas frecuentes y predominaron los de 70 años y más 55,5 por ciento. Predominó el sexo masculino tanto en los que presentaron síntomas previos como en los que no lo presentaron (AU)
It was performed an observational, longitudinal, descriptive, retrospective study, with the aim of determining the presence of symptoms prior to the AMI and the frequency according to age and sex, in 29 patients who survived the acute myocardial infarction treated at the Intensive Care Unit of Emilia de Córdoba Teaching Polyclinic, in the Municipality of San Nicolás, Havana Province during the period between January 1st, 2005 to December 31st, 2006. The 62 per cent of patients had previous signs. Palpitations and general malaise with 18,7 per cent respectively were the most frequent and predominated in those with 70 and over 55,5 per cent. The male sex predominated in those with previous symptoms as well as in those who did not presented them
