ABSTRACT

Total glucosides of Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae (RSG) are selective immunosuppressants that exhibit primary efficacy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis through targeted inhibition of activated T cells. In this study, we aimed to investigate the potential application of RSG in the treatment of psoriasis and elucidate its mechanism of action and material basis. Our findings revealed significant improvements upon administration of RSG in an imiquimod (IMQ)-induced psoriasis model. These improvements were characterized by a remarkable increase in the number of tail scales in mice and a substantial amelioration of skin erythema, ulceration, and flaking. By transcriptome sequencing and T-cell flow sorting assay, we identified notable effects of RSG on the modulation of various cellular processes. Specifically, RSG prominently down-regulated the Th17/Treg ratio in damaged skin tissues and reduced the proportion of G2 phase cells. Furthermore, RSG exhibited a stimulatory effect on the proliferation and differentiation of epithelial cells. Of particular interest, we discovered that β-sitosterol, sitostenone, stigmasterol, smiglanin, and cinchonain Ib displayed potent inhibitory effects on the IL-17-mediated inflammatory response in HaCaT cells. In summary, our study highlights the therapeutic potential of RSG in the treatment of psoriasis, attributed to its ability to regulate the Th17/Treg balance. These findings contribute to the development of new indications for RSG and provide a solid theoretical foundation for further exploration in this field.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extraction technology of Yigu granule. METHODS:L9(34)orthogonal test was used, using comprehensive scores of transfer rate of icariin, gentiopicroside, loganic acid and yield rate as evaluation indexes, alcohol volume fraction, the amount of solvent, extraction times and extraction time as investigation factors, extraction technology of Yigu granule was optimized, and the verification test was conducted. RESULTS:The optimized extraction technology was 10-fold 60%ethanol reflux extraction for twice,1 h once. Results of verification test showed, average transfer rates of icariin, gentiopicroside and loganic acid were 81.28%(RSD=1.54%,n=3),48.71%(RSD=2.37%,n=3)and 59.82%(RSD=2.52%,n=3);aver-age yield rate was 31.48%(RSD=1.97%,n=3). CONCLUSIONS:The optimized extraction technology for Yigu granule is sta-ble and feasible with good reproducibility, which can provide basis for the follow-up study of production process.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo study the teaching method of childbirth turning point and enhances teaching effect in the normal birth of the gynecology and obstetrics department teaching. MethodsAfter carting on the different form the teaching, to 382 students of Qujing medical high school, we carry on the one-to-one skill operation inspection and make the contrastive analysis of the achievement test scores of the students in the experimental group and the control group. Results There is remarkable difference between the conventional experiment teaching and the experiment teaching of adding giant pelvis ( P<0.01 ). ConclusionThe giant pelvis's application can enhance the teaching effect enormously in the childbirth turning point teaching, and this method has the application and the promoted value.

ABSTRACT

Objective; To analyze the symptom discrepancies of chronic prostatitis under different risk factors. Methods; The questionnaires were made by combining a series of modified questions on the basis of NIH - CPSI with other four carefully designed questions o-riented to trace the risk factors of chronic prostatitis. The questionnaires were published on a cyber - forum named " help center of prostatitis" and the answers were collected by e - mails from the patients. The validated answers were catalogued into three groups according to the risk factors they were undertaken. Results: Three symptom groups were within or around the margin of statistically - significant line, which were "Discomfort in (around) the Perineum and anus region" (which can not be explained as pain) (P1,2

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effects of salt restriction on blood pressure in hypertensive patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD).Methods From July to December,2006,26 hypertensive CKD patients with 24 h urinary sodium excretion(UNa)over 100 mmol/d were enrolled and received dietary education and sodium spoon.Their BP level,blood/urine electrolytes, serum creatinine and amount of urinary protein were measured before-and after-8 weeks.Anti-hypertension therapy kept unchanged during the observation period and those with UNa decreased less than 10% at the end of observation were considered as salt restriction failure. Results Eighteen patients succeeded with a reduction of UNa from(243.8?71.2)mmol/d to(135.0?49.1)mmol/d(P

ABSTRACT

The determinations of total extracting flavone content and total extracting solid yield of roots or stems of Radix Ilieis Pubescentis and their contrast studies in pharmacodynamics and toxicology have been carried out.As a result,no significant difference between roots and stems, which provide the basis for mixed use of roots and stems of Radix Ilicis Pubescentis.
