ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the value of serum monocyte/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) and urinary albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) in the evaluation of osteoporosis in diabetic nephropathy patients. Methods:Diabetic nephropathy patients treated in Hangzhou Ninth People’s Hospital from Jun. 2019 to Jun. 2022 were selected. Gender, age, height and weight of all patients were collected and recorded, and body mass index (BMI) was calculated. Blood calcium (Ca), blood phosphorus (P), parathyroid hormone (PTH), monocyte count (M), high density lipoprotein (HDL-C), urinary microalbumin and creatinine were measured and recorded in all patients. MHR and ACR were calculated, MHR=M/HDL-C, ACR=urinary microalbumin/creatinine. Lumbar spine bone mineral density (L1-L4) was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, which was divided into osteoporosis group and non-osteoporosis group. Results:Among the 117 diabetic nephropathy patients, 47 cases were osteoporotic and 70 cases were non-osteoporotic. The proportion of women in osteoporosis group was significantly higher than that in non-osteoporosis group, and BMI, PTH, MHR, ACR and bone mineral density were significantly higher than those in non-osteoporosis group, with statistical significance (all P<0.05). Multivariate binary Logistic regression analysis showed that female, MHR and ACR were independent risk factors for osteoporosis in diabetic nephropathy patients (all P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed that serum MHR and ACR were negatively correlated with lumbar bone density, with statistical significance ( r=0.524 and 0.497, P=0.004 and 0.009, respectively). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of serum MHR and ACR for evaluating osteoporosis in diabetic nephropathy patients was 0.870 (0.809-0.931) and 0.849 (0.792-0.905), respectively. The AUC of serum MHR combined with ACR for osteoporosis in diabetic nephropathy patients was 0.927 (0.891-0.964) . Conclusion:Serum MHR and ACR can be used as the evaluation indexes of osteoporosis in diabetic nephropathy patients, and their combined efficacy is better.

ABSTRACT

AIM: The aim of this study was to develop several novel α7-nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) radioligands for the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The study reported six compounds and studied the in-vitro receptor binding affinity, and selected the I-labeled IBT with good characteristics as a novel radioligand suitable for studying α7-nAChRs. After verifying the stability of the radiotracer [I]IBT, the biodistribution in vivo and regional brain biodistribution studies were carried out in mice. Blocking studies with methyllycaconitine citrate and nicotine were carried out under control and blocking conditions, and the metabolic stability was assessed in vivo in the plasma, brain, and liver. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The results of our study suggested that [I]IBT had affinity for α7-nAChRs. The in-vivo evaluation in mice of [I]IBT showed a high brain/blood ratio and excellent metabolic stability. The regional brain distribution studies and the blocking studies showed that it had favorable selectivity and specificity and was a potential α7-nAChRs radioligand.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the relationship between cystatin C(Cys C) and homocysteine(Hcy) in patients with early diabetic nephropathy.Methods48 cases of T2DM patients from June 2013 to December 2015 in our hospital for treatment were chosen as the observation group, including 30 patients with early diabetic nephropathy patients as the observation group 1, 18 cases of T2DM patients as the observation group 2, were selected in our hospital physical examination of 28 healthy persons as control group, serum Cys C and Hcy levels were measured at the same time, urinary albumin / creatinine ratio (Ualb/cr) was measured in the observation group, test results of three groups were analyzed and compared.ResultsThe serum Cys C and Hcy in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group, and Cys C and Hcy levels in observed 1 group were significantly higher than that observed in the 2 group, the difference was statistically significant in the observation group, serum Cys C and Hcy level was positively correlated with Ualb/cr.ConclusionThe relationship between Cys C and Hcy levels and early diabetic nephropathy has very important significance in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, can effectively improve the rate of diagnosis of early diabetic nephropathy patients.
